Did you miss all the stuff else where were they said the Armor pieces and Tomestone/Carbontwine/Carboncoat are going to have separate lockouts? You can receive only one reward item per week for completing duties in the World of Darkness. In the event you are awarded an item from the loot list, you relinquish your right to vie for all remaining items regardless of whether you selected Need or Greed. If time expires and a reward item is obtained automatically, this will also count toward the weekly limit.
Yes but no where does it say that WoD drops twine/coats. It is assumed because of the past system in ST, but the patch notes do not confirm that. A contradiction to this however is that Yoshi-P has stated that he would like a system in place where you do not have to choose between WoD gear and Token upgrades. Also, in a recent interview there could be a weekly quest that would award these token items instead. You can receive only one reward item per week for completing duties in the World of Darkness. No. The Famitsu interview with Yoshi-P on 13th Jan (I made a thread earlier) says that it will have a similiar quest like the 3 EX Primals in 2.1 - you have to run CT, ST and WoD weekly and it probably gives you a token to exchange one carbon material per week.
Add on (since daily limit exceeded)
In this part, Yoshi-P says that unlike in patch 2.3 where all 3 (UAT, Sands, Oil) were not available for choice right from the start, in patch 2.5 update the Poetics upgrade item will be all added in one go.──ウィークリークエストを完遂すると、任意の詩学装備強化用アイテムが選べるのですか?
吉田 パッチ2.3公開後の流れと同じで、最初から3つすべてを選べるようにはなっていません。今後のアップデートで、詩学強化アイテムがパッチ2.5全体に追加されていきます。
I can't access the Patch 2.1 notes, but the weekly repeatable quest, "Primal Focus" was part of the quest in "Chronicles of a New Era". A quick round of reddit shows that no one knew how it work, whether it is repeatable or not so I presume the patch notes didn't state it either.
If so, then I guess "The Gift of the Archmagus" might be the weekly repeatable quest.

Point to where in the patch notes this is said. And don't quote the last live letter, the patch notes are the most definitive answer.
The servers are due up in 2 hours if I am wrong expect me to eat my words, likewise if I am not.
Edit: ehh famitsu or whatever, I know where you are getting the idea that upgrade items will be on a seperate lockout but it is conspicuously absent from the notes.
Well I don't think WoD will drop the new upgrades today, ST didn't so why would WoD have it on release. So thats why it's not in the patch notes since it doesn't drop there yetPoint to where in the patch notes this is said. Thank you for this. It shouldn't surprise people to see contradictions in pre-patch interviews and what is actually there at this point. People also forget that in ST there was no sands/oil on release.Yes but no where does it say that WoD drops twine/coats. It is not in the patch notes because it is not in the WoD at the beginning of 2.5Yes but no where does it say that WoD drops twine/coats. Like it was in ST, the upgrade items would be around 2.51 in WoD
Oh, great, hunts are now super-relevant again, and everyone is going to be zerging them like last time.
Hunts can be all right, when they're not vastly over-popular and as occasional content, but this is just going to go back to people getting angry again because of how poorly they scale. There have been some improvements since their introduction, as they did increase their HP, and they're not such a great source of poetics as to completely negate the need to do other content, but we're going to be back to half the server descending on one mob within seconds of it being discovered.
I've never accused anyone of pulling early, and I can totally understand not wanting to wait when there's already enough people gathered, but it's also annoying to see people who aren't amongst the first hundred or so to arrive derided as slow/lazy - when hunts are that popular, it's as much about correctly playing the "being in the right linkshells" metagame as it is anything else, and every announcement is a stressful scramble to try to get credit.
My suggestions would be:
1. Make the daily/weekly bill rewards higher and the rewards from killing random hunts lower. This would allow everyone to accrue marks at a reasonable rate with extra rewards for those who choose to spend longer on it. This has improved a bit since implementation, but doing all the bills is still only 200 marks/week, so 7.5 weeks to get one Carbontwine at the expected exchange rate. I'd prefer to see that up to 500, perhaps, especially as you won't get any log drops this way.
2. Make A- and S-rank spawns scale depending on the number of contributors that last killed marks, and calculate contribution more generously. This would allow anyone who hears about the mark within a few minutes of its being discovered to get there in time and contribute, rather than a scramble to get there ASAP and pull before it gets too crowded.
I think these changes would make hunts a lot less stressful.
so wait, did i miss where it carbon items are now for sure obtainable?
