Machinist could get Bard gear (then it would be Ranged DPS gear), or get own gear if SE think that Bard's gear design don't fit the image of the Machinist.

Mmmyeah, let's add another physical dps gearset. It's already terribly uneaven with tanks sharing, healers sharing, and casters sharing -- and none of the other classes do; they have /similar/ ones, but not the same.
(Same gearset is good cos it means less farming. It's bad when you want different glamours for the different jobs.)

Imagine, you run Coil, you get a loot drop on a roll, but you have no clue what it is. It's assigned to a loot tier by a color, the best color at the time for this example, but even though you ran that turn as a Tank, it could be Healer gear or anything else. So you go to a NPC in Mor Doughnuts tied to Rowena, and you ask them to examine and find out what it is for you. Turns out it's some Darklight MNK gear. You just ran Coil, and the RNG decided to give you lesser gear of several dozen item levels after running hard content.
Be thankful we don't have that, and remember it each and every time you don't win a roll.

Don't they already have a system of this sort in game? Antique armor drops in dungeons, and can be traded for Darklight at Rowena's.

Personal loot pools. Everyone gets one drop for clearing content. If something you don't want or can't use drops you can convert it into a token. Collect a few tokens and trade it in for whatever you were really after.

PLEASE can we have unique gear for each JOB? No more sharing gear for BLM/SMN, SCH/SMN, WAR/PLD etc! I hate how not only does it look the same, but we share it!!!!

This is like saying "If you think you are suffering here, go over there and you can see what REAL SUFFERING is like!"

No thanks, how about we just improve the system to reduce suffering instead of pretending this other much more terrible game is the benchmark of suffering, so if you are suffering less than Destiny players your life is now good.

I think a token system would help. I enjoy the system we have now up to a point. I think making it so if a class isn't in the raid then it's gear won't drop could be bad. I mean we've seen like 19 tank chokers from t11 and meanwhile I'm over here still waiting for my casting body to drop so that part sucks and would suck even harder if the DRG body dropped seeing as how we don't have a DRG but at the same time there are at least two people who play DRG in our group. Not to mention one of our members prefers to play monk but plays Warrior for us instead. We run two casters in 10-12 and our SMN switches over to Monk for 13. If we weren't seeing MNK pieces that wouldn't help us out at all.

Give us our loot drops but give us some sort of token system so we can remedy bad RNG. 6+ months of having T8 on farm and we never saw the casting body. A couple months of t11 on farm and it's looking to be the same issue. This shouldn't happen.

You're totally missing the point. My main right now is NIN, with BRD being equally geared. However, we all know that finding DPS classes is way easier than finding tanks and heals. So, if I decide to bite the bullet and go on my reasonably-geared SCH so that the group can actually do the content, that would leave me unable to roll on NIN and BRD gear. Have you ever wondered why PF primal parties come together way faster as Greed>Need? It's because it lets people fill the roles the party needs without compromising their ability to gear the class they actually want.

In other words, you're too impatient to wait in queue and would rather take the oppritunity away from a person who mains healer for a slim chance of getting the thing you want.
