    SE can buff Summoner easily if you only take the time to actually think about it. You can up the potency of Fester and your pet. That is all that is really needed. You can implement the Crit trait on your pet to momentarily increase your Crit chance. There are plently of options for a small buff.
    @ Oldkrys, I am not an awesome black mage. I do 450-460 DPS with ilvl 120 and 120 weapon opn T10. Also remember that the BLM is limit breaking. On T11 I get around 440 DPS on T12 I get around 440 as well with LB and T13 is really good for BLM, I have around 450-460 unmerged parse. I don't know why you would ask for a SMN PoV, though. I haven't touched SMN since them being screwed over. I won't get nowhere near on my Summoner.

    I keep seeing post about increasing pet damage or the potency of fester. How will this resolve current issues. Sure it will increase dps. However it doesnt resolve any mana issues and dps will still drop off massively trying to conserve mana

    summoners are fine. could they be better? absolutely.

    ive cleared final coil and can do each turn hitting 410-430 easily (merged) with dps spikes close to 650 (pots, raging, enkindle). im never pulling the groups lowest dps number either. i rarely dip below 900 mana. i know i could increase my dps by 10-30 if i was spazzing out and using ruin 2 every chance i could as well as going in for auto-attacks, but then i would require mana song (lowers group dps) and crowd the melee dps and offtank.

    410-430 average from all dps jobs at the end of an encounter is enough to kill all bosses in the game with a smart warrior and scholar pitching in (which is to be expected in decent raiding groups)

    dps would be higher without all the spell speed. otherwise, playing a tight game will allow you to pull in good numbers. in the end, smn is fine. the current fcob fights arent particularly summoner-friendly but who knows what the alexander raids will bring.
