comments like this reek of ignorance. stopping a DDOS isnt that simple.

Thing is, Sony has not been keeping anyone up to date on what is going on, and a good amount of time that the servers were down they were under maintenance by Sony! I am WELL aware of what a DDOS attack is, FF under went a few last month, the difference is they had their shit together and kept us up to date. The only bit of information that I have gotten from Sony is "The PlayStation Network is currently: Offline"
