In the end, relic or no relic, the person who doesn't do coil, won't do it anyways.

It's there for the grind for people who don't like to raid. That's fine. If you don't want it, don't get it. Other people will.
And also, both ways are grinding. Both ways you will fight the same enemies over and over whether you are fighting in coil or doing the same fates/dungeons over and over again to farm. I think what the issue with both sides is which is better suited for the time you put into the game. I got fed up with relic after farming one fate for a whole week for hours a day w/o drop. I haven't gotten past T5 because i haven't been able to find people to play it or stick around after failing once. But either way, if you want stronger weapons, these are the only two options.

Unfortunately, IMHO, i believe the relic quest is too long and too time consuming for the low pay out. I expect to have a pretty high lvl weapon that you cant top anywhere after finishing each step, but its not like that. The time i took trying to get atma, I could have maybe found people to play T5. They need to make it more interesting. Its a quest for crying out loud, it should have an awesome story on its own. Relic weapon? Why spend all that time to go on this ridiculous long quest to have my weapon surpassed by someone getting drops in a dungeon? Relic should be bad ass, shoot fire, collapse the sky, destroy other dimensions, something, not just some BS glow.

See, what i think SE needs to do is make the relic worth grinding for. In most games, or even movies and anime and books, when you find the legendary weapon, relic weapon, etc...what makes that weapon supreme is that is has some sort of ability/magic/power that comes with it. Maybe they can make the relic quest like job quest. Getting relic and upgrading it to the different lvls gives you maybe a certain skill or ability or trait. And whatever that trait/power/skill/spell does changes with the change of the weapon. For ex. Artemis Bow. Maybe make it so as you upgrade it, you affect the way a certain skill or certain skills perform. So maybe getting Atma makes it so say 1% chance weapon skills do double dmg. Getting next upgrade maybe gives 1% chance that when bloodletter hits an enemy, chance to heal hp equivalent to dmg dealt....just ideas. need something to differentiate Relic weapon from other weapons besides a glow. make you want to think about the grind.
