Are relic weapons ever going to be useful?

Guys get good. Everyone knows you can just farm T13 easily and get your dreadwrym i135 weapon in one go!

Get good to do that? Waste time? T13 is easy, but the gear goes obsolete too fast, making it pointless. What am I going to do with it..more T13? Please. It's boring. Until they fix the gear progression in this game I am done with 'raiding'

I'm fine with not wanting to do Coil, that's everyone's choice but I don't see how the Relic Questline is any different. You do a bunch of old, obsolete fights a few hundred times along with some other RNG or grind based mechanics and boom you have a weapon that was obsolete before it even came out. If you want long-term gear relevance you're playing the wrong game, gear in this game is relevant over the duration of a patch cycle - not the game's lifespan. Relic only surpasses "raid gear" when the Raid has been deemed to be aged content, like with Nexus vs. High Allagan Weapons in the previous patch cycle. Similarly you see the i110 to i115 upgrade in Shiva after Second Coil became even older than on Shiva's release.

Also you fail at understanding the person you were quoting was being incredibly sarcastic.
