    Though it's not a timemage I can see skills that are working somewhat like that. Like a spell that start's as a HoT and can be "activated" so it unleashes the rest of his healing power with a bonus on the target - or a skill that simply stops dmg and heal on target for a couple of seconds an then unleasesh both of it (with a healing bonus).

    On the other side I was already completely wrong with my assumptions on the Gun(blade)er. So who knows?

    They're not going to randomize the healing aspect of the class. That's just too risky given how end game raids work. There are one shot mechanics that require a certain level of healing that randomness won't work on.

    I think the six cards will be for support buffs and debuffs only.

    That would be cool. I played a similar class in LotRO called Rune-keeper who didn't have a normal incombat raise, but a pre-raise, you had to predict the person's death and give them a buff that would auto-raise them to the healer's current position. Draw back was that if healer was dead, the raise wouldn't work. RK also used single target hot heals as well as one channel aoe-hot heal. :> Would definitely like to play something liket hat again.

    I want to aay 1 thing. This job is MINE i mean it seems like square enix listened to my prayers and created this job For me! It perfectly fits to me. I have a tarot deck in my closet and a lot of books regarding astrology and esoteric etlcetc. I just pray that the job respects his LORE good and the skills respect the job itself.

    I thought Square Enix said that Haste may not make an appearance in this game? It seems like it would be a bit OP, but it would be nice to have...

    I'm not sure what to think about the AST, but I really want a HoT healer too. And a buffer. Would be new and interesting.

    We honestly have next to no information to go off of, though a heal over time focused healer seems like the most likely one, if just because it's the major healer archetype left, at least to me. Certainly lots of other things they could do, but burst healing, healing over time, and healing through prevention seem like the most major stuff that people tend to see. Ideally the Astrologian can do some of the other two as well, just like WHM and SCH can do a bit of all three, but it'd be strongest at healing over time.

    The cards are likely entirely unrelated to the main healing gimmick though. They're probably it's own thing, and guessing because of it they'll be kind of lacking in damage, mostly making up for that with support stuff.

    It would be nice if one of the healing jobs gets an AOE debuff remover that removes 1 debuff from all players in range.

    And another job gets a powerful single target remover that removes all debuffs from one player, so it would wipe off say heavy, poison and paralysis in one go.
