Unfortunately, not everyone is on a large server, nor in with the right crowd that will grind non-stop with them.

I hate that this is true. I hated when it was done to me so I make sure that I don't do it to others. I always insist on doing full runs when I do the dungeons for my books. Unless the people who aren't 50 are ok with speed runs, I will never do it.To make matters worse, chances are some people doing the low level dungeons just for that item they need are jumping into Duty Finder (not pre-made) and trying to speed run or skip mobs just to get it over and done with as fast as possible, making new players or players levelling up alts miss out on experience points :/
Ya it sucks for me cuz I don't need the extra exp (or any exp for that matter lol), but you just gotta suck it up. It's not fair to get mad when others do it to you, if you're just gonna do it to others later on too.
Idk I guess I just play on one of the most friendly servers cuz lots of others on Behemoth are the same as me.

Ill see you when I 3 stat my DRK relic and have my 75 alexandrite saved because I have PLD animus and decided to go no further with it.
It's easier said than done. I've spritbonded a month straight and I can count on one hand the crit 4's and det 4's I got from converting. I had a few crit and det 4's saved. Det and crit 4's are going for 800k respectively on my server. Crit and det 3's go for 18k a piece, so saving up for 4's would take a very long time. I finally had enough last week when I got a det 4 from spirit bonding and failed a meld that had an 88% chance of success. I decided to just not go bis and put 12 pie on my sch novus. The atma and novus steps of this pos quest are so dependent on rng. From atma, converting, and melding itself :/You're aware it's fairly easy to farm materia yourself, right? Even if you go for the IV tiers. Spiritbonding a fullset of gear on FATEs, doesn't take much time at all and once you're onto the IV tiers you can sell off III tier Crit/Det for a fair amount to buy extra IVs.

During 1.22, all content parts of the original relic quest, except Ifrit extreme, were already ingame before the relic quest.

Beating Coil shouldn't be related to Relic, they're meant to be two separate paths and I think they should remain as such (If you're clearing Coil you already have access to those weapons from both early tome/carbon access and the T9/13 weapons). I'd rather have a mix of new fights (Trials, like Chimera/Hydra) and EX Primals or similarly scaled fights be the "progression" stages.
Basically I think the goal should be to provide content that is new, but not as difficult as Coil itself. As it stands right now this is something more in-line with a Pachinko or Mobile game than something I enjoy seeing in an MMO. I know others disagree, but that's just my take on it.
I am almost positive that the next step of the relic is going to involve grinding EX Primals for drops, it is the only old content they can add that has not been used yet, that and Coil.
I seriously doubt it since they're not something you can just farm over and over and so far Square's making relic grinds within easy content.

Next relic quest will be grinding the series of Crystal Towers. The only old content left that hasn't been abused yet
Maybe some Allagan ingenuity technology there will elevate your weapon to the next level![]()

I had a similar issue with the relic quest in 1.0 because most of it was rehashed content too, but even then it still had a couple of unique parts, even if it was only Hamlet, Ifrit EX and IIRC a couple of leves. There also wasn't really anything else to use your relic on aside from Nael Hard and that didn't even need them because some people beat it without them. All that was left to do after getting your relic was the same content you already had to do to get it in the first place, hence why I never bothered with the quest in 1.0.
I also didn't like that they removed steps in the ARR quest, I liked the reduced grinds like no beastmen currency grind and less mobs to SB your relic but overall it was too simplified content wise. Even with the reduced steps though, the first ARR relic quest still has 2 special challenges labeled as A Relic Reborn on the DF, even if one of them is the same overused Chimera that wasn't really created for it. Arguably Titan is also new considering the 1.0-ARR transition, but it's existing content really.
That's mostly why I specify Chimera and Hydra, because they're trials specific to the relic quest. That's what I'd like to see more on the other steps, also some special relic only leves and some open world mobs you can spawn if you're on the quest. That sort of thing, not just grind this same content you were already grinding and grinded months before in the first place.
