    Hi Velo,

Yah I posted about this last week. In FF XIV 1.0, Yoshi P actually did put in this system:

    * (No Lockouts) Low Chance for a Weapon Drop *and* 100% Token Drop. Collect enough Tokens and you get the Item of your choice.

It worked really well and seemed the most fair for all players:

You get the "Lottery/RNG feel" (that some players seem to like), and after enough wins, you get enough Tokens to trade in for your weapon (if you were just too unlucky). Win-win.

I hope they bring this back for 3.0 Heavensward. Please.

People get fully geared, and quit the game faster.
    They make less money.

They will avoid the mistakes of 1.0

As I understand it the issue is more that a minority of players have terrible luck. Some lucky players may get geared up quickly anyway with the drop system that's in place now. Adding token exchange in addition to the random drop that's already in place doesn't have to affect subscriptions - Square Enix can set the pace they desire with tokens / token weekly caps (excluding the randomness of the actual gear drop). The tokens are simply a fail safe for the unlucky players.

Tho i understand that they want to earn money but at least make a token system after the next level raid is implemented. I got lucky myself but i've been helping a FC member hunt a weap for over 20+ times and he himself gone at least 20 to 30 times solo

Not getting fully geared when one has the skill to.. makes one wants to quit too.
