Actually selling bracelets lets you buy 110 crafted gear and fully meld it.
With fully melded 110 gear you can beat most of the final coil

Actually you can't. You can only beat final coil if you either:

A. Are good at the game or
B. Have found a group of 7 other players that are good at the game that can carry you and they accept you into their group

Fully melded i110 gear doesn't mean squat if you are dead all the time because they don't know what to do for wild charge. Someone who "P2W" all their high end gear still has to play the game and earn the skill in the game in order to win the game. The negativity of some of the people in the community kills the game way more than someone selling bracelets and buying i110 crafted gear.

Sadly, a fully melded HQ i110 set may not enough since you can't meld Vit onto the gear, and some of the final coil fights have some very high HP checks. Well, you could say that you can buy the i90 accessories and meld them with Vit, but unless you can push your job to the near maximum limits while missing some secondary stats and some of your main stats, it's going to be very difficult to clear most of the final coil. Not to mention that it's a group effort as well.

I was not counting skill you can wipe on Final coil in full 130 gear if you have no skill :P

I would be glad for that guy to have bought the i110 gear with the gil he got from his bracelet sale. Now that he has the gear he needs he can focus on actually getting good at the game. Obviously goes without saying that having more people that are good at the game but not arrogant A holes is going to benefit everyone Missing a member of your static tonight? Well once this guy gets good at the game he is another person that can join your party finder to save you time waiting for someone

You cannot buy skill. Lock out prevents people from selling current end game content. Because of this, I don't care how players spend their money on the game. If they want to use real money on the game to get full melded armor, whatever.. Pay to win really matters when the game's pvp is heavily imbalanced towards cash shop users, but seeing how that isn't the case I wouldn't call this pay to win. Its just pay to maybe compensate for lack of skill. Anyone shooting for a world first will probably know how to make gil in game so I doubt it'll ever be pay to world first for raids. Unless they get lazy l0l

Maybe I should have put a /sarcasm at the end of my post?....of course bracelet/dyes -> gil -> ilvl110 gear/artisan craft or gather is pay to win.

But it seems now the excuse changed from "well minions/mount are not P2W they don't help you clear stuff" to "well, getting a ilvl110 full melded is not pay to win, you need the skill to clear said contend"

That mental gymnastic (people changing excuses to fit their idea) is what blows my mind.

Adrian74 you are doing a great job and keep it up even with the negative answers from some people. It is always good to have someone who tries to draw the line for company to not let them do absolutely whatever they like even if some people say that they have the right to do so.

OFC they have the right, but it does not mean that they have to use the right. Cash shop cannot and wont go away, but it does not have to end like P2W and way to gain ingame currency.

Pretty much this. The bracelet trading for gil was a really dumb oversight by SE but they can't change the past, only fix it and try to learn from this.

The Cash Shop is here to stay, no amount of complaining or ranting or starting new topics on the forums will change that. Only by voting with wallets will that matter. If you don't like the cash shop, that's fine. Vote with your wallet and don't buy anything. If you only like 1 or 2 things and think it's worth the money to you, go ahead. It's your money and you can do with it as you will.

Those going whole hog because it exists? Few and far between I imagine.

It just really irks me that most people posting lately about Cash Shop this and Cash Shop that and calling nothing but doom, gloom and end of days. This won't be the Gehenna for XIV.

Whenever SE makes it so that the highest i-level gear available in the game at any given moment can be traded and/or sold on the MB, then I will worry about "P2W" (outside of people selling runs of certain instances).

...A time that I am pretty confident will never come.
