Cash Shop: Where do you draw the line?

For SE? I imagine the line is the point where the value of sales they make in cash shop monthly no longer exceeds the value of the subs they have lost. It may be that they lose relatively few subs, or even have no net loss at all, in which case the number and variety of items and services will keep increasing. I think we can safely say that there aren't any specific features which would be 'out of bounds' to some form of monetization.

Also all they sell is vanity stuff on the shop. You can sell the ring if you really wanted to for gil. But I don't think they will be a very high demand item considering how everyone can get the normal one for free.

Why shouldn't I? My feedback and the feedback of others like me may help let SE know what aspect of teh game caused us to unsub so they can bear it in mind for future design decisions. From a retail business perspective, findind out why you are losing subscribers is one of the two most valuable types of feedback you can aquire (the other is "What would make me subscribe to this service/buy this product").

Actually toppings cost about $1 extra per topping when ordering pizza. Source - I order a lot of pizza. So you get your pizza for $7.99, but the same size with pepperoni is $8.99. This would be analog with paying for the game, but if you want that one metallic dye that's $1 extra. Right or wrong, that's how it is. The cash shop stuff is extra.

I don't recall getting married mandatory in this game, nor having to buy this stuff to do it. People being over dramatic for nothing.
