Let SE sell ilvl150 equipments in the cash shop then. Unskilled people with ilvl150 will still not be able to clear final coil anyway.

Saying that it works for other games is not a valid argument here since FF14 is supposed to have a different model.

You say that, yet people still pay and sell carries. How do those people afford those carries sometimes multiple runs each costing 1m+? They RMT. This is no different. But people are still free to do what they want with their money and in a form it is RMT but it's legal. That is not me endorsing it but your point is pretty invalid. People will still always buy RMT from third parties. In a way this is hurting RMT and benefiting SE because it hurts the RMT sales. I do hope it doesnt turn into a Pay to Win game but I can also see why some people would prefer to sell these (looking at you, nexus/zodiac.)

People can defend the cash shop all they want, a mount and couple of minions was "ALRIGHT", even though it wasn't fair for people who couldn't or wouldn't wanna shed some more money for a digital product.

I remember really well Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE Online... Where in that game basically all ingame gear was worthless in compairson to cash shop gear. It was a F2P MMO BTW. But in that you had to grind forever ingame to afford cash shop items, provided you found a seller. It was 100% pay to win.
That game server (the online one for the wester audience) got shutdown in February. Jp one is still running, with the same heavy pay to win environment. I remember people not shy of shedding 200-500 $ to get the best gear in game that way (buying it directly OR buying tradeable items to sell in game and THEN buy the best gear with in game currency)

I'm pretty sure TERA & Aion went downhill that way too.

Remove the ability to trade Wedding Bracelets
Make gear you dyed with those one time use metallic dyes BOUND TO YOU, the same way they do when you wear those in a battle. That way people won't be able to buy dyes and use them on other people's gear to trade them back to them.

I'm fairly sure they did not intend for people to sell the wristlets for gil, and I will be very surprised if they don't do a patch to try and prevent if somehow (though I'm not sure how, since they need to be tradeable...) because, to be blunt, I am on a JP server and the ONLY people I have seen selling them are English speakers. Not seen a single JP advertise.

So I wouldn't put it past them to have overlooked it, even though it seems pretty obvious. I hope they do something to fix it.

Even though they seem to have spent a long time creating the Eternal Bond system, they don't seem to have thought it through very well... (ie people paying for gold/platinum not getting their items if their parter has a free wristlet).

Hopefully patch incoming imminently.

Its better that they do this than buying the gil for via RMT. No game is free from RMT at least this way the money is back in SE's pockets and not a third party. In end if it stops or at least reducing RMT spams I'm for it. You're never going to get rid of RMT from mmo or even character selling to a lesser degree so there will always be the "pay to win".

So what if my favorite company made a mistake, intentional or not, and is now offering a borderline TERA just before going F2P/PLEX without the actual sub time/P2W like system to try and test the waters and see if it sticks or not, I have to keep defending it by saying it can combat RMT because other games do it so only it's okay when my favorite company does it because they do it the bestestestest

People were angry that the weddings were hidden behind a pay wall. They wanted a way to obtain it in the game with gil.

People figure out they can obtain the wedding in the game with gil only, and are angry about it.

Makes perfect sense.

The big difference is real money is still involved. The naive players, or perhaps just too hopeful, thought it would only cost gil because they didn't specify on the always vague previews they do, as in only in game gil without real money transactions involved at all.

wow. Really, who cares. Me my friend and my gf worked our asses off to buy a mansion, and it means a lot to us. This rmt bought stuff wont MEAN anything to these poor souls burning their money on a game, in order to not play the game. Every MMO is pay to thanks to RMT business. If you have money there will always be a way for you to get ahead in mmo which is similar to real life as well. You can do the same here indirectly by selling of the bracelet for gil. Also its not like this avenue for making gil will last forever. Eventually the demand will be so less and less people will be willing to buy bracelets. As I've stated before, the way they have it now works for everyone since everyone has access to the eternal bond vanity and mount either through gil or cash.
