Dragoon: top dps and easiest melee class by far ?

I was wondering how long it took for people to start crying. DRG should be the highest DPS anyway for it has the least utility. Although the buff for BRD is pretty good, but that's about it. You don't even know how this translates into DPS in the first place? Things remain the same expect for the positionals. But if you still want to get the maximum out of your DPS you still need to flank heavy thrust and now do Chaos thrust from the back. You wouldn't believe how frustrating it is for DRG and how much of a DPS loss it is to miss your heavy thrust or impulse drive due to bad tanks or unexpected movement. It really is out of your control. On top of that the DRG got a well deserved DMG boost and it SHOULD be top of melee, it's that simple.

I am not questionning the boost drg got, if you read correctly -- i am welcoming it.

Dumbing down the class by removing almost any impact on the positional is what i am questionning.

Really ? The most demanding ? How so ? You still had only 2 positionnals to do. Assuming your tank wasn't a moron, it was a far cry from what mnk had to deal with (positionnals on all non dots attacks). If your tank was a moron, well, not "harder", you were just screwed, but you will always be anyway with a bad tank.

Anyway, it was "harsh" because mistakes costed you a lot, but you had less to care about. And if we go this route, then nin is harder: on top of mudras, we have maybe only ONE positionnal, but missing it is as harsh as a mnk missing half his positionnal for the whole minute.
