Suggestion for dealing with alts

There are several solutions because they are not ever going to open tabs like you are suggesting unfortunately due to SE's stance on RMT.

Your options, unfortunately, will most likely remain these:

1) Join a FC that lets you use their chest for this. (things can get stolen mid process)
2) Use the marketboard to sell on one character above selling price and buy on your alt (can get sold to others mistakenly)
3) Invite RL people you trust to play and trade with them, family, friends, etc.
4) Make in game friends you can trust and trade with them.
5) Buy/make a second account just like many others do to trade between yourself.

I have 8/8 characters on my main server as well. I created my own "alt" guild to transfer items/gil and when I need to transfer between characters not in that guild, I send to my wife to transfer

I agree with OP. Im paying to have 8/8 alts on each world. I do get tired of not only playing with same look, but also playing on same server all the time. Now they have a world transfer service, why not an Item/gil transfer service. And I have a cool way it could work. We already have to pay for extra retainers. How about making the service where you can only trade between retainers on your account. For ex. add an additional $1 per month to trade to another retainer on another alt. i wouldnt mind paying another dollar per month for the ability to trade. Even though people are gonna complain, Se is a business and if my money is going towards their company to keep games like this coming and functioning, then im all for it

So... what does having an NPC that focuses only on characters on your account have to do with RMT? The suggestion would only effect 1 account, allowing you to easily transfer gear between characters on your account. I don't get how that has anything to do with RMT. And if 1 char is caught associated with RMT, then that account gets banned.

It's SE's logic not our own. It makes little sense to me as well. SE didn't really think the whole thing through but what's new?
