Yay, catfight. Just what this thread needed.

Gotta admit though, this one is actually entertaining. lol
*munches on popcorn*
You're both pretty, stop arguing. Let's get back to arguing gender equality through virtual equipment options.
Yay, you quoted the correct sentence. I'm proud of you. Now all you have to do is to understand it. By the way: Quoting is not considered addressing. And you clearly did not address it.
"Or to word it a tad bit more serious". Let's analyze that. It basically means that the comment before is not to be taken seriously, while the comment coming afterwards is only ever so slightly more serious. Of course I'd apologize if anyone was offended by that. But OH WAIT. Let's read your first comment on this again. Too bad you don't even mention any insults there. All you complain about is double standards. How did we get to the insult part again? Ah yes, that was when you finally recognized that it was indeed a joke. But to save face you then proceeded to grumble over something else, which was completely unrelated to your original point.
Also you should stop putting words in my mouth. Your "You're basically saying" bullcrap is ridiculous.
Enough of this madness.
Holy crap, what happened to this thread while I was gone?!
What Remilia said was indeed incredibly sexist; and it makes me so frustrated because I can't make him understand why it was sexist (without writing way more than I feel like right now and taking this thread even more off-topic).This is not a reason.
How a male's preference in a female's clothing matters to how a female wishes to dress is completely against the idea here. What a male prefers has nothing to do with how we wish we dress ourselves.
And what you don't understand, Reimu, and the reason I don't acknowledge what you say all the time is that...
...this is the most sexist crap I have ever seen.
Edit: Edited for the correct word, thank you!
By the way, Ophie, post #265 makes me want to propose to you.
And to quote something from another thread that I think is perfect for this one:
Uh... guess I'm too late to join this Thread...
Anyway, can we get this thread on fire again?
O Boy...uh... I mean Girl...Tags for this Thread

Yep.
Basically it's not equal, and all here acknowledge it's not equal (but don't call it sexism! Wouldn't want to offend those who think women are there only to be their eye candy) - but hey, women should just be grateful for the attempt, right? It's CLOSE, therefore stop complaining, we should be grateful for the scraps of equality that have been graciously bestowed upon us!
Full equality in gear appearance? That's just crazy talk.
But don't listen to me, my character is named Creamy and apparently that's offensive to women.
Out again.
Can this be said again? And a lot? Just this part.
I would like to say that not all male gamers pick female characters just to look at something pretty... I rolled a female because in XI, Mithra were an all female race, and in XIV, I stuck with Female Miqo entirely because I was a Mithra in XI (which I chose because of its high base DEX, mind you, I was like 11 or something and didn't care about feminist propaganda back then. Still don't, interesting fact, but thats not what I'm arguing against here.)
I agree that, I think having armor that looks stalwart and practical, much like PLD AF/Relic is on Female, for females is a good idea, and a good thing, since I'd prefer some of that too. To be fair, these is a good bit of "not sexy" armor for females. the Darksteel Set for one, makes you look like a giant tin can just like males. PLD AF/Relic as I mentioned, is pretty gender neutral. More armor choices. I don't think "Sexy"(Don't think thats the right word but its whats been used) armor should be removed entirely and replaced by a new line of conservative armor that covers your body from head to toe like the Darksteel trash can armor, like some of you seem to be requesting, because that wouldn't be equality, it would be completely destroying one side(The side you don't like) so you don't get offended anymore (modern feminism, not that you guys are).
Equality means both Scantily clad and Conservative pratical armor should be available for a female to wear... and It is in XIV to some degree. As a female character theres little armor that I wear that feels like its biased toward females, and I play NIN, SMN, and PLD. The Wootz armor on my PLD looks the same as it does on a male, my Divine Hero/Ironworks gear looks pretty much identical, my Scyllas robe reveals as much boob as it does on a man... I mean theres very few examples of armor being "Sexified" that I actually wear. Plus, you'd have to pull a really f**king impressive discussion for me to believe women don't want to feel sexy too.
Men have their Banana hammocks too ya know.
Also I know someone mentioned Male Power Fantasy as a joke, but, like... in case anyone was seriously thinking that argument is valid
Anyway, in case its lost... I agree there should be more variety in armor for females, not saying there ISNT variety already, but I'm not against adding more gender neutral armor choices for those who like it.
