Which is why I don't see why people keep bringing the issue up, this game does it right. Simple as that. I honestly don't get the stick up some people's butts.
I'd honestly like to hear where this "improvement" can be done? There's options for people who want to run around looking like they're in a burlap sack, options for full coverage, options for skimpy, everything in between.
If you don't like the coatee set, glamour it. If you don't like the dragoon set, glamour it. Look like a living garbage can, look like a vagabond. You have the options, they should shut up and utilize them.
I find these complaints tantamount to a fatass whining for someone to give them the remote that's 2 feet in front of them.
I don't know it. I just assume that mods tend to keep dicussion under control, especially very long ones like this.
When the thread gets locked, we can be sure :P

LineageRazor, another voice of reason in this thread! TwT/

Oh, I love TERA. I enjoyed it's storyline (it really gets better after 20 or 30...can't remember) And agreed, the game itself is fun, but part of the concept of the game is the outfits (though most often overlook it's really the Castanic characters who's armor they're generally complaining about...the other races like to cover up quite a bit). Basically people using other games as an example they likely didn't play and/or didn't get.Actually, i love TERA online. It's one of the few KMMOs that doesn't lean on its sex exploitation to carry the gameplay -- the actual game is fun as hell and it's PVP is solid. Can't speak for SB though, but i'd rate it 10^3 worse than TERA off screenshots of its cutscenes alone. TERA is horrifically sexed up, but its story actually takes itself seriously at least, all the NPCs aren't naked females.
As a male, I demand more skimpy armor choices.
You...You all know that I'm just a poor noob, but.... But....
Now I start to consider that my tanks are one step ahead into being pro... I mean... Now they fulfill the requirement of the International Tanking Law art 4.52*. "All tanks that want to be recognized as real tanks should either wear light clothers, swimsuits, summer clothes, or any magician-taffeta style clothes."
Yay!

Aegis, i agree with the whole "people should have the choice of wearing DRG armor with no belly hole" but if that change is implemented, everyone on the other side will start demanding a "sexy PLD AF" alternate and "why should i be forced to wear heavy armor that hides all my 'assets', why cant i look sexy like DRG?"
i was a manthra in FFXI, and i am keeping the character alive in FFXIV, including DRG main, and the belly window does not bother me, aside from why is there a belly window, but i do not find it makes the character sexier or anything like that
in fact, I am working toward the Syrcus tower set (guardians of maiming, i think) and also there is a set that is i130 that is the Dreadwyrm set of Maiming, and it has no belly window, based on the screenie on Lodestone

I came to this thread because I wanted to complain how buff females look in tank armor (looking at you Noct Lorica!) but it seems this thread is oddly about the other way around.
I'll show myself out, I guess.

So I'm probably going to regret touching this threadat all, but I'll have to live with any responces I may get.
I'm really not high minded enough to have a strong opinion anything regarding the sexism orbotherwise in the outfits. I personally play videogames to get away from such drama, be a different person for a few hours. That said, for more "Mirasa is a greedy little clothes hog" than Disagreeing with the sexism of the system, I do wish I could wear a fitted version of the male coatee. And keep the female version. So I can where what I want depending on my mood. I'm not annoyed because of the clevage, just that the two outfits are so different..
