Vhile has a valid point in that classes don't typically repair their own tool. And since you can't unequip your primary tool and repair it using the secondary, blacksmiths typically run into this problem.

With the recent repair changes that seem to guarantee repair now, it's easier now to repair that higher rank tool with the possible plus one or two with the previous generation of blacksmith tool.

Vhile, I don't know how you generated so much enmity With one post. You'd be awesome main tank for the ogre.

    Or with a weathered hammer.

I would personally prefer they just let us use the secondary tool. Failing that, I'd actually rather see the repairs (if it had to be another class) go to CRP, WVR, or TAN, since they are actually involved in making the tools. Preferably CRP. Since I've never had an ARM involved in making my hammers, though, I see no reason why they should be involved in fixing it. Honestly, I'd sooner keep the current system than I would move the repairs to ARM.

In summary, here's a ranked list of ideas to fix it:

    1. Let us use secondary tools.
    2. Move the repair to CRP.
    3. Move the repair to WVR/TAN.
    4. Leave it alone.
    5. Move it to ARM.
    6. Move it to any other class. >_>
