Why Are Low Level Dungeons Taking So Long To Get Into?

Melee and ranged DPS have separate queues.

as there can be brd/brd brd/blm or MNK/NIN in the same group i doubt that very much

This was mentioned in the 2.25 patch notes. The pertinent portion reads: "The average waiting time for Melee DPS and Ranged DPS will now be displayed separately in the Duty Finder."

Yes! I've queued as a brd recently and it wasn't more than 10-15 minutes for the things I wanted to do.

Oh, that's a huge relief to know. The very few times I queued as rogue, it was over a 65 minute wait. Glad to know that my BLM won't be hugely negatively affected by all the ninjas out there.

Even when rogue came out my friend did dungeons just fine as ACN, that while melee dps was stuck in a 1+ hour queue. The DF will always try to match 1 melee and 1 ranged before picking two of the same.
