regarding TheKingslayer: If I change my gear to dps gear on a dummy I hit 450. But that is but a silly dummy.
In real combat dps goes down and in my opinion too much. The dotting I will try out this evening, but as u said it will not be the major difference.
In regard to Daweism; making a vid I assume I need special tools for that? Not everyone is a wizkid

As people are talking about numbers I simply wonder; macros are a nogo at least u lose a little speed with that and thus a little dps. but what else is there, using as said mouse and keyboard ... is it input peripheral that blocks progress or just understanding of the fight, I simply wonder.

You might be able to prevent this. Assuming your topped off before charge, and have a WHMs protect, you should have been fine. I have yet to die from Charge + Lightning tick, because of Spineshatter and Second Wind, either of these will save me. I do also raid with over 6300 HP and do get down to less than 200 HP if I do eat a tick of the field, so maybe if your HP is lower you won't survive. But do not underestimate the power of Second Wind ^^

Thisthisthisthis. Spineshatter + Bloodbath and you can get yourself back up to respectable levels for aoe healing.

Your gear could be an issue. How is your Novus statted, Crit/Det? This is how I am set up http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/OJSY You could probably use some more stuff from the SCoB turns. The Earrings and Choker would help give more accuracy so you use the Astrum hands instead of the HA. If you got the gil you could go i110 crafted wootz Helm (which is better than the base poet piece). There is a cheaper way to meld it by not using the Det IV and doing Det III and Det II in the last two spots if you're strapped for Gil.

I'd be interested in some updated MNK weights. I understand that EMX isn't playing anymore, so would it be possible for him to release his spreadsheets or other resources he uses to get his weights from? That way he wouldn't have to be bothered every other patch. :P

This man speaks the truth.~ Getting HT and ID off on any boss before they go invulnerable and surprise adds pop out e.g. T10 will jumpstart your rotation, thus improving dps.

Try adding a CT on the daughter before doting the son. I find that the dot ends right about the same time as the daughter dies, but other groups could experience otherwise!

I find that prepping skills help. One thing you could do is prep a HT and Impulse Drive while he is doing his electrocharge before the adds come out. Then move to daughter put up Dis switch to Son put on CT + Phelb, then go back to daughter and do FT rotation. While you're DPSing down the daughter the CT and Phleb are ticking. If you had put both CT and Phleb on daughter it would have died too quickly and you wouldnt have gotten full use of the ticks, thus a waste of dps. Im not saying this will get you to 400 dps, but things like this will help.

BTW Im by no means a top 1% drg, but I was easily doing 460-470 (no food or pots) on a dummy over 3 mins at 109 with HA spear. If you are only doing 420 at i111 you may want to look at your priority system again (notice I didn't say rotation).

Target lock indeed, guarantees that you do not miss auto attacks when dodging left and right, but you have to be smart and know when to unlock to run out.

If you play on ps3/4 I don't recommend target lock, it does horrible things to the camera angle. Change to classic controls instead of legacy, will give you the strafe movement needed and won't mess up the camera angles.

(maybe it's just cuz I'm lala, but yea, please fix target lock SE)

Looking at the Wootz Helm, it's fail cheap to cap out in materia for accuracy and determination, I only need one more acc 2 to finish it, is it worth it to use it? Or should I just wait till I get the DRG helm from final coil? Stats on will be:
24 STR
25 ACC
25 CRIT
18 DET

Debating on whether to sell it, or if it will be useful enough considering 130 head drops from T10 I think.
