There is still much to teach even now for SCoB. And where was all that "Teach and Show" since 2.4 came out? Learning PFs don't get filled, but clear sellers sure were busy putting up PF advertising their services. 99% of the players base are not "lazy/bad" players, and quit insulting them as such.

Maybe on your server. Since 2.4 there have been constant learning PF's on my server and they fill extremely quickly. Also, most of my FC is now either working on or cleared T9 since lock outs were removed.

Long story short, this is how they roll.

The hard core's get to have their challenge, work hard to earn their shit, then when content is old and ignored and somebody has it down to spam-clearing 10 times an hour, they nerf it for the 30 something crowd, you know those of us with children, gainful employment, social commitments and busy schedules, who don't have time to sign a blood oath with a static, least we sacrifice our first born god forbid we have to work late and get stuck in the office. (OR lord help us if we accidently NEED a drop and become the servers most overdone meme)

Let's not even begin on how difficult it is to find a learning party, or the look of DEATH you get when you mutter the words "I've never done this before". Don't get me wrong, I've never attempted coil...at all...not even once. I've no beef against it, I've just not the time for as static. Roulette and dailies is basically how I can play the game. I log on, do my shit, rabble over my FC chat for a bit then its off to the salt mines. So when they nerf content I otherwise had no time for (COUGH ATMA STONES COUGH) I do a little dance. Because it means maybe players like me, with no real time to dedicate to a static, might get to this content later down the road.
You get the satisfaction of knowing you worked your ass off and got that shit done, and we shamelessly sneak in when the dust settles and get our now outdated armor and weapon so's that we don't get left in the dust when nobody's willing to do the old outdated runs and raids anymore.

Teach what in SCoB? Do you realize in T10, every DPS need to be 400+, and 1 player, YES 1 PLAYER death cause enrage? What are you learning in SCoB with this patch, oh ya, you learn that you can mess around and still win. Well, that wont help you for Final coil, but like i said, the experience out of it might worth something for 3.0 when they nerf FCoB.

Lazy/Bad: Lazy because they don't try hard. Bad because that what they are... The PF you talking about with "FARMING ONLY" "NO NOOB" "NO SCRUB" "NOT A LEARNING PT" are generally the BAD/LAZY player i am talking about. Instead of looking for a carry, just make some relationship, create a real static, a real LS that is ready to help you. Instead of rage quit as soon someone make a mistake, TRY HARDER.

I normally wouldn't have posted anything in this thread but your own post there kinda contradicts the point you're trying to make.

Learning parties aren't filling, yet clear buying parties are?

This directly implies that people would rather buy a clear as opposed to learning the content for themselves, as you cannot force someone to pay for a clear party. Learning parties were up in the Part Finder, they were up since the first day BCoB was unlocked and they were there the day SCoB was unlocked. There was also the option for players to put up their own Party Finder groups with criteria they could set if they didn't want to or were unable join one of the other ones already created.

It's simple, if no learning parties are currently up in the Party Finder, then make one, the fact that a large number of players are unwilling to do this however speaks volumes about the community.

So, yeah i hate to say it but this does very much show the trend of players not being able or not being willing to take the time to create parties to learn content on their own, and this is coming from someone who routinely puts up Learning parties for various content after I've cleared it myself. And no, I've never sold a clear for any content whatsoever, i just don't really take issue with those who do, nor with those who wish to spend their gil on the service.

Regardless of how much as you would like to paint the picture as the exclusive fault of the clear sellers, the people who sell those clears are only able to do so due to the fact that people are willing to toss up the gil rather than use their own time in the alternative.

There is no such thing as "Too much to teach" if players are already clearing the content and taking the time to do so.
