    Flintlock Pistols and Muskets used Iron Ball Bearings for their Ammunition of various sizes. As such their ammunition actually caused bludgeoning damage not piercing. It wasn't until the development of the Minié Ball that you started to see actual bullets being employed by these types of guns as the Minié Ball, despite its name, was an early Bullet.

    Hmmm, I should change the damage type to Blunt then.
    We do only have one Blunt Damage DPS right now anyway (Pugilist/Monk).
