Shadowflare + Swiftcast

[Suggestion]

I personally believe that using swiftcast plus shadowflare is a complete waste of resources for a summoner. But, what are other summoners thoughts on this?

I do like to go back to my posts and tell you guys any changes to my ideas and points of view.

I have now a firm understanding that you can not judge when to use Shadowflare + swiftcast until your party has died a few times or something else comes up. Saving swift cast for resurrection on the first encounters is a small loss of dps. (though i still think that some people myself included don't want to wait for the cast time whenever we use Shadowflrare).

Shadow flares cast time is 3 seconds (your GCD is 2.5 or lower, spellspeed hue huehue), so not swiftcasting it wastes time. Also leaving skills not on cooldown is also a DPS loss.

What else to use it on if you're not needing to Rez someone? Sometimes I use it to speed up Ruin1 before I have Ruin2 when doing hard fates but there's almost nothing worth using Swift on except Shadowflare.

Using a 60 sec skill, for a skill with cast time of 2.88s seems like a waste. I'd rather be ready to rez at any moment as that is what summoners are given the ability to do.

Its also a waste to not use it at all. Every 60 seconds you wait you lose a swiftcast for no reason other than saving "resources".

If i can save a whm or scholars mana, i think that it benefits the whole group.

You're being way too conservative. SMN isn't first raise priority to begin with.

I know that not using it on shadowflare makes you miss out on a certain amount of dps, and if your goal is to be an extremly efficient dps more power to ya (lol literaly ). If I was in a group where i knew that if i rezzed someone that it would actually throw a whm off cause he is that good, i would turn to using swiftcast and shadowflare in a heartbeat.

Its a combo that is to precious to give up. And is what separates our class from the other dps.
