Run the new dungeons and use the tokens there to get Myth gear that can be desynthed by a weaver. Or, run coil turns 1-5 (except 3) for equipment that can be desynthed by a weaver. I recommend T4 as as SCH, WHM, BLM, or SMN, as they can Need on two WVR-desynthable pieces each.
Those are the cheapest ways, if slow.

Allagan WVR desythesis gear has a chance of giving Arachne Velveteen which is extremely useful for lessening the amount of mats required for 4 star i110 gears. Not sure if this was mentioned yet already.

There is a chance for either, though from my experience you're much more likely to get silk than velveteen.
Good info, thanks guys!

I ended up with 5 silk and a velveteen from desynthing a handful of random Allagan I had in storage. Wouldn't call it a proper ratio but just a frame of reference.

Just to note, you can desynth il110 crafted items. You have 30% chance at 100 skill and 57.5% with penta-meld and bacon broth. So far from 6 successful attempts, I have had 0 demi of any kind. I generally do platinum circlets since they are essentially free to make using sol. Not sure if this will help anyone skill up, but I will update if/when I get any demi from them.
I really don't think that you'll get anything more valuable than what you put in from these... Maybe you'll get some BC3s, but I would be incredibly surprised if they gave MCDs, which is what I think you're going for here. So far, only crafter equipment i70+ has given MCDs, and the only new crafter equipment that high is either non-desynthable (Ironworks Rod) or costs 6x Ehctal Sealants to make x_xJust to note, you can desynth il110 crafted items. Not sure if anyone has posted this, didn't catch mention of it in the last few pages, but I desynthed my Allagan gloves of casting and got 4x Allagan silk so LTW desynth is potentially useful even for Weavers.
Demimateria being required for so much crafter progression stuff is the absolute worst thing and probably one of the few things i despise in this game, please don't do this anymore in the expansion SE.
