This is an MMO. You are absolutely required to network with other players if you want to make meaningful progress.

Or DF all day then come here and complain about how the game is broken (hint: it's not).

For lack of a better way of saying it, this seems to be an instance of trying to figure out how to handle the fact that casual natured players and hardcore natured players are able to join into the same content and their expectations of other players are greatly different.

Maybe this was already given as an option in some other post, but would it be of benefit to enable a checkbox on Duty finder that allowed you to designate casual or hardcore (probably thinking of a better way to label it).

Where there is no difference in the actual dungeon difficulty or rewards, but you just get grouped with people that you can come to expect how they will react/perform? I know I would rather join a casual queue then to join as is and get verbally butchered for not doing something exactly right. Make sense?

That's a lie. Even through networking (I belong to a raiding LS out of sheer desperation to clear content I cannot otherwise clear), I have not succeeded at T5 or even Moogle Mog EX. Ever. Not one time.

It's very easy to say "Just find a raiding party and go with it," but to actually find one willing to take someone who has never beaten T5 is like finding a needle in a haystack, and starting a raid static is even harder and takes up a lot more time, because you have to actively seek out people who either have not cleared the content you have or will help you clear that content, and very few people are willing to help strangers in an MMO.

It just feels rude whenever I hear that it's my fault that I can't find a group to clear with despite constantly trying to find one, as if I run DF once, wipe once, quit, and then come onto the forums to cry about my problems like some extremely delicate flower. How dare you? I mean, you'd think with as many people voicing complaints about it, that there would need to be some kind of change, right? Or do you somehow think that we're all lazy good-for-nothings who expect to win without effort? Because I sure as hell do not expect to win a hardcore fight without wiping at least six times prior. Because hardcore content is supposed to be hard. But if I can't find a group of players committed to the long haul with the ability to adapt strategies to match the boss mechanics, then how in the hell is that my fault?

You failed at networking with competent players.

All of the competent players are in full statics or raiding FCs. I'm on a freaking RP server for twelves' sake! There are no other competent players willing to do anything except farm Second Coil and learn Third Coil so they can then farm it.

I mean, if you're so adamant to the fact that we're all lazy and worthless, prove us wrong! Find a bunch of T5 rookies and run them through T5. If you're not willing to even try that, then you're proving my point.

I mean hell, I can say T13 is the easiest raid ever. Doesn't mean I'm right or even telling the truth. I have not set foot in even Second Coil, much less the final turn. So how in the hell can I know how easy it is if I have never attempted it? Likewise, you say it should be easy for us "casuals" to find a competent raid static and clear T5, yet have you tried to find a static for a T5 clear at all recently? Especially considering all of the competent players have moved on to Second and Third Coils?

This could be true, however it would at least remove people's excuses. If I am casual and I join hardcore queue and I don't perform expectedly, I will get verbal abuse. If I don't like verbal abuse I have two options, become better or join the casual queue.

I did this, actually. I wanted to clear T5, my current static didn't even want to try. I cleared T5 after spending 30+hrs in a pug and trying to grab people to go again that I had practiced with before. Then I built my own static out of people that had never cleared before but wanted to do it, then spent a week teaching them the fight to finally clear it.

If I want to clear something, I WILL beat it. People who also want to beat it will join me, knowing that following me will result in a win. This is what it means to be a leader. So either be that leader, or continue to fail until you find someone to latch on to.

defeatist attitudes are a big reason why success eludes people in the lower tiers of content.
Here's what you do: You set aside some time for doing the content you want to do. It can be any amount of time. But for that period of time, you spend it forming a group. You do what it takes to get in there and get your experience. If people leave, you replace them. If people screw up the same mechanics repeatedly, you replace them. If people learn quickly, follow directions, and are good to be around, you friend list them, add them to your LS/FC, or join theirs.
Endgame content is difficult. it requires coordination and study. You need to go out and make friends willing to do it. And that's by design, and has been since the first MMO raids.

Then change servers? Or FCs. Why are you annoyed you can't find anyone to raid with when you chose an RP server?

If coil is that important to you, go somewhere else.
