    Gil buyers

I can't be 100% sure, but I find it extremely difficult to believe that certain people on my server are not buying gil. While on the market boards I will see the same person buy 12+ Ehcathl Sealants at 339,000gil a piece and then turn around and buy the new crafted rogue/ninja gear for 4mil a piece (2 or 3 pieces bought) So, that's roughly....

    4,068,000 sealants
    +12,000,000 arachne gear of Scouting
    _______________________
=16,068,000gil spent in less than 3-4 days. (lord know what else they've bought, I'm not exactly tracking them, just notice their names in the history ALOT)

Either these guys are very good at farming money or playing the market or they are buying gil en masse. I cant prove or disprove it, but it does seem fishy.

I spent 20 million in 2 days (mostly on sealants). I make my own gil. It's not impossible with high level crafting. That person most likely crafted 3 and 4 star furniture. Sealants are easy money even for low level crafters. There ought to be a lot of money swishing around. And lots of people, like myself, came into 2.4 with a good amount of gil on hand for the inevitable outlays.

On Hyperion, The Arachne stuff for Ninjas was heading steadily for the 1.5 million mark, then suddenly they were all reposted at 3 million~ each.

Crafters and 'Players' are pricing normal people out of the Markets.
Its funny watching that Demand number get higher and higher and the Items in Demand just stagnate on the boards because people demand far more than the item is worth. Especially as that stuff is virtually vanity.
It's a choice between buying a HOUSE and buying a vanity shirt for ONE job.

I agree with this, even if I did have millions of gil on me, I wouldnt buy a single item (or a house) for over a million. No matter how cool that item is right now, I know in 6 weeks it will be half that price or less :P
I have always hated the way XIV's market works anyways. With people able to see the prices of their competitors its very much a sellers market, buyers must either pay insane amounts of money or wait for the sellers to battle it out in undercut hell before they can afford something.
I personally wait for the new hotness to become old news before I buy anything purely because I don't want to support the greedy and ludicrous seller(s) :P

A friend of mine spent 100 milish on his personal house, I know he never bought gil, just made a lot crafting. I'm pretty sure he spent 20-30 mil more on sealants recently, some people just enjoy playing mostly to grind out money. It doesn't mean they buy gil.

Well, it's hard to tell who buys gil, but one thing is certain; There definitely ARE people who buy gil/gold, and they're either numerous or they buy a LOT, or goldspam and bots would have died out years ago.

Is RMT a perma ban first time offense? If not, then maybe they should to further discourage it.

Who's to tell who does and who doesn't One thing is a fact, RMT is a serious business and they make tons and tons of money on pathetic people who need some unfair advantage above others.
