    Notorious Dungeon Roulette

    Back during the LV Fan Fest, while I was in line with a group for the speedruns, one of the other people in the group told me about a fantastic idea for a roulette: The Notorious Dungeon Roulette.

    As can probably figured from the name, his idea was for a roulette that included all the dungeons that people just hate doing. Pharos (pre-nerf), Cutter's Cry, Aurum Vale, now Sastasha HM, etc. would all be included.

    The idea was to remove these dungeons from the regular roulettes so that there are less cases of people dropping instantly once they find out where they are, while also giving a separate roulette reward for those people that are willing to stick through them to the end.

    What do you think?

    What's the point behind it? It just sounds like Expert Roulette 2.0 but with a massive gap between the dungeons in terms of levels. People wouldn't do those dungeons anyway because they're not effective to grind for daily rewards.

    This idea wouldnt really work cause anyone that isnt VERY far behind on gears generally only do dungeons cause they want that unique dungeon minion or for tomes grinding.

    Thus there would be no reason to pick a harder dungeon rather then a easier.

    Besides if a player cant handle the risk of getting a slightly harder dungeon then perhaps they should stop using the roulette.

    Why do people still do Low-Level Roulettes? I don't, personally, but it's there and there's a reward anyway for people that want to do them. For this roulette, it would make sense to give a better reward; a) since the dungeons are nominally more difficult even at level sync cap, and b) because high-level dungeons are mixed with low-level.

    I don't know why people hate Aurum Vale so much either, but it's just one of those places. Sastasha HM is most definitely hard on healers, from the first boss that drops people to double digits if a stun misses or gets used too much, the second boss that dumps a whole load of adds with perma-binding enemies that literally leap across the room at a target to keep everyone separated, the second mate that also dumps a crap-ton of adds just before the final boss, and the final boss itself that is sending out damage all over the place across the entire room and is just a mad dash around to keep everyone in range let alone healed up.

    I totally misunderstood the title. I was expecting it to be something more along the lines of a Notorious Monster, but in the form of a dungeon. It would be a highly specialized dungeon that would only randomly pop up during a duty roulette and would have extra cool rewards in the chests or at the end or something. Maybe they don't even need to be full length. Maybe they could be mini dungeons that just happen at random from doing the roulette...

    I would queue for it if the rewards met ends meet. And that the dungeons were pre-nerf, Ampdapor Keep with Bees on Demon Wall, level syncs, etc.
    Throw in 20-25 Allied Seals and I'm sure it would get done.

    Personally, the dungeon just feels like it goes on forever, especially the last boss even if in my experience it generally takes less time than Qarn HM to clear.

    Ah, that would actually pretty fun, too! Like, you're getting ready to enter a dungeon and all of a sudden this other dungeon swallows you whole and now you have to fight your way out! If they don't make him a summon/primal, it could be an idea for an Alexander fight. XD

    Yeah, it wouldn't be Notorious if it wasn't pre-nerf. I doubt they'll ever hand out Allied Seals for anything but hunts, but anything's possible.

    If they were to implement a Notorious Roulette, I'd prefer it be from the pool of all lvl 50 duties, but apply a random handicap to your party. They sort of did something like this for ex primal challenges at LV fanfest, although if they do it to duties, I hope it's a lot better thought out.

    Such handicaps could include ilvl caps, no cross class skills, healing enmity x2, tank enmity 1/2, No aoe skills, etc.
