Sorry but no. T5 was brought down to the ground already, if someone cant down it now, they just dont deserve to down it.. I spent hella of time before I was able to finish it and I would feel discriminated if it was nerfed even more and I believe I am not the only one.

guys. anyone who is not past t5 as of this moment shouldnt bother anymore. why? because once the lvl 60 cap hits everyone will be EVEN on progress once again like it is always with a cap increase.

i also doubt there will be a new raid right at xpac release anyway. nobody is gonna do coil anymore once that happens because its gonna be lvl 50 old content and lvl 60 chars will steamroll it anyway.

so if youre this far behind current progress still yet, dont bother anymore. wait for the xpac to reset progress and then join right away and youll be fine. anything until the xpac currently doesnt matter much anymore. we can all just hope the devs have enough braincells to remove all current lockouts with patch 2.5 otherwise why bother farming gear thatll likely be not finished because of lockouts and RNG before addon release anyway...

Even if I am at head of a casual FC my belief on raiding is, that is another level of the game, where the causal player wants to be a better player.

Don't misunderstood "better" with more cool or l33t. Better means a player who wants learn and succeed on manage the mechanics a game poses in front of him. Raiding it is no more a button spamming, it require some thinking, and do right things at right timings, requires knowledge of the game, of the encounter, of the mobs they are in and, of course, of its own played class.

Things as the Echo can help you only on dps checks, and lessen your need of knowledge of your class.

But the mechanics someone have to learn to handle, are the defining of a "raid". A casual that does not want deal with them, does not want to raid. A casual that is not able to deal with them, is not able to raid. Raiding is not for everyone.

Even with my above statements, to me it is fine T5 being easied more, this only because who really wants raid and learn to be a better player, have the option to run the "savage" version with its intended difficulty.

Raiding players are now on FCoB, and will not care Coil1 more than lv.15 Sastasha.

Find a group of like minded individuals and friends then be picky about entry conditions. This fight isn't that hard. I literally helped someone last week who beat it on there second time ever entering the dungeon and it wasn't even a carry. It's not that hard.

    There is no savage T5.

T5 is fine and teaches necessary skills for end-game progression.

I think what people get hung up on is that they get dollar-store weapons and armor as their completion reward despite the fact that the fight is initially rather complex and challenging for the new raider. "I Completed Baby's First Raid Boss in FFXIV, and All I Got Was This Shitty T-Shirt."

So, rather than focusing on the now-obsolete rewards, I like to think of the fight as a progression primer. It also tends to be less of a time sink to take only one, max two friends at a time into a clear party with experienced players so that they can more easily follow everyone else's lead when in doubt and are less likely to instigate party wipes when they make mistakes.

Just out of curiosity - is there a more up-to-date guide for T5 now? Back when 2.0 / 2.1 was around I cleared T1 - T4 playing casually. Never had the time for the huge undertaking that was T5. As of today - I've never even attempted. With the raise in I-levels and the implementation to echo - Id imagine there might now be slight variation to strategy. Is the mr. Happy video still the one to watch?

Anyone else notice one thing? Majority of those complaining about content difficulty, say they can clear it, it's always the other players. All those parties that they "have problems finding other people that are capable of clearing", have one thing in common I'll let you figure out what that is XD

MrHappy really likes to talk, so I used the MTQ video guide as my primer while I was learning the fight. I tend to do it a little differently at the snake adds, but the general idea is clear. Higher ilvl just means you can push phases faster, and it makes strats like solo tank and solo heal easier.

One thing I cannot stress enough is the importance of everyone hugging the death wall while anticipating the next Divebomb indicator. Failing to do this as well as moving too late are the most common causes of wipes past conflagration phase IMO. Everything after is pretty straightforward once players learn to unfailingly watch for Twisters and move/position properly for the remainder of the fight.

there will be if the T6-9 savage have enough success/value. It has been announced like that at least, and quite frankly I was waiting for it in 2.4
