Can you please, PLEASE, adjust the furnishing binds? Currently the most expensive items you can have in your house break if you remove them. The problem is that if you ever want to upgrade your house, or move to a different zone these items, unlike normal housing items, break and render you unable to use them at the new house. I understand these items are supposed to be rare and harder to get but if I'm spending 2-5mil each for once surely it makes sense that if I want to get a better house I should be able to take it with me. For me personally I really want to upgrade to a bigger house but I cannot unless I kiss away 15mil worth of items. Surely a "bind to player" system would be more efficient than a "bind to plot"? All the other housing items bind to player to prevent resale which is fine, but I can't wrap my head around why the more expensive items have this in place.
If it can't be changed can we please at least get a reason why it has to be this way?
It was explained before that it's an effort to keep these products as something special and rare. Personally, I just think it makes them annoying to own.
This...
My FC likes to change things up every so often. But we are small and can not afford to be re-crafting things like any EX Primal piece if we decide that we want to stick it in the bank for a while. We really wantted to make a more "holiday-esque" yard set up but we can't because we can't remove our Levi Fountain.
On that note.... I want HOLIDAY housing items. I want to decorate my house (and my FC house) for the holidays. Can we get a Holiday "Fixtures"? Christmas Lights? Spooky Decorations? Snow on the eves? Eggs hidden around the house? I am sure the artists could figure something out for each holiday. I love Holiday stuff, and I think Housing should be a MAJOR part of what makes holidays great in XIV.
PS: If there is no Christmas Trees from each city (inside at least, but outside too would be preferred) I am going to scream loudly over the internet.
I'd rather be in Zitah
Please please let us have partitions that match the current wall options. The walls are all great but it's either them or partitioned housing space (or stupidly looking mix) and I really don't understand why this still hasn't changed. It has been requested over and over just like the option to preview your furniture without actually placing and binding it (since until you place it, the colors are off) + ability to preview dyes on furniture. Especially now, that we have more rare dyes some of which can also be applied on furniture, I'd really like to be able to preview them.
One new thing I'd love to own are curtains I could put on my walls to make the place more cozy. Both open spread ones and tied ones I could put next to my windows etc.
Next I'd like to say I really love rugs. However, the current options can be hard to match color-wise. Could we have some plain rugs that are dyable? In several sizes like those of doormat, riviera rug and perhaps some small round ones as well.
Hammock is such a nice idea! I have always wanted to have a swing seat in the garden, but a hammock would be nice as well.
And force you to stay in an FC which you are no longer like unless you want to kiss away all that expensive furnitures... Before I felt proud to own a room, now I regret to ever own a room and made it looks pretty....
Special Housing Roof: Winter edition. A roof with snow and lights on it. {Can we have it?}
A couple of my requests.
Please make the metallic dyes useable for housing exterior, gold or silver would be so appropriate for Uldah!
The ability to preview dyes on exterior items, and a "try on" feature where you can see the furniture in it's full size in front of you, just you won't be able to place it.
I'd also like to see a small cage or jail cell of some sort, something like the large cages with auto opening doors you find around Eorzea but scaled down.
Also seconding a suggestion I saw earlier, please change the /doze mithra have when on a bed to something a bit more, sleepy? Why can't we just have the way mithra sleep on the inn room beds?
Perhaps a way to deal with the rare items that people are afraid of losing if redecorating, give houses some kind of hidden storage, like a closet. You can move items there you don't want out, so they're not visible in the house, but you don't lose them either, and then bring them back out when you want them on display again.
Also, yes please on the holiday decorations/roof!
