easy way to fix this if you don't like it don't buy it i am sure when the look at there sales report of how well its doing compared to the amount of subs in the game they will re-evaluate the cost.
No we don't want them to add hair styles in the cash shop, This game is a pay to play! If they start adding hair styles via cash shop then all the stuff we would normally get ingame would be thrown into a cash shop which all those goodies we would have to pay for and pay our sub. Mounts and minions and costumes are a big start of something that could turn very ugly. I quit an mmo I played for 5 years because they became greedy and started to put everything that we used to get in game, In to the cash shop making it a rich mans game. I vote no! I pay a monthly sub so I shouldn't have to pay extra for items that should be gained in game...

Mount notwithstanding (I suppose it's priced the way it is because it's account-wide), they can't go too much lower than $2-$3 for the smaller items because a bunch of that gets eaten up in credit card processing fees. So I can't see practically that they'd go much lower than that without requiring people to buy in "blocks" and not truly à-la-carte. Of course, whether it's worth it or not is up to the buyer to decide.
Minions are cheaper compared to WoW by about $5. The mounts are more or less the same. In the end, they are just vanity items.
Personally, I thought about getting the mount, but I maxxed out my ixali tribe today, and the Direwolf mount is SOO much rarer on my server than Sleipnir. Easy decision.
for these kids with their mommies credit cards cash shop is cool to them, There are many hard core pay to play gamer such as myself that do not want to see our game go to a cash shop, Here is why I quit the game I played for 5 years.
They added 100's of housing items some that lasted 30 days and others that are permanent that cost more.
mounts, pets.
buffs, loot rate % buffs.
permanent mounts, Mounts that last 30 days.
Wings, halos, vanity items etc...
100's of items became available via cash shop and it became stupid and so many like me looked for games that do not do this aka pay to play mmorpg's
<items I am ok with in cs>
fantasia/ server/ name change

the people saying "its fine because its just vanity" are pure stupid.
this game is highly influenced by vanity...a majority of my friends who dont raid are into vanity and this game has loads of vanity, housing is vanity. cool clothes and gear are vanity, different mount skins are vanity.
vanity has a high place in not just this game but ALOT of games, MMOs especially...and when you lock vanity behind a paywall then you basically lock a huge part of a game for alot of people behind that very paywall.
there is no way to justify a pay to play game having a cash shop, no way at all.
you can try but you will fail.
"just vanity " is a terrible reason.
improving the overall quality of the game is a terrible reason (because if they cant improve the game with 15$/m + 1million+ subs then wtf are they doing?)
please, stop acting like everything yoshi or SE does is a gift from garuda, our lord and saviour..because tbh its not.
So much butthurt in a single place...can't say i didn't expect it but wow, this surpasses all of it.
