But it's also sexist to assume that all females want armor that makes them look like females, isn't it? That would be like how girl toys in real life are colored pink or feature themes like housekeeping or cooking. Some girls like blue and want to play with Legos, not Barbies. I think having no gender specific armor is more appealing, personally.

I would think only wanting male version of the armor for both genders a bit sexist and the views on which people want the females only wearing an obvious male design.

Male designs 'usually' have a greater bearing to reality, and armor designs for both genders (in real life) vary only slightly (no boob cones unless you want to die). Them being distinctly and clearly functionally separate would be more sexist than them being the same (like Dragoon armor, lol; however, while coliseum armor is silly, imo, at least both genders wear it skimpily lol).

Asking for a few sexy alternatives isn't necessarily sexist, but complaining that there's something non-sexy certainly is. Not everything has to be sexy.

Feminine doesn't necessarily equate to sexy, y'know. This is Dark Knight we're talking about here; if SE manages to make it menacing without making it clearly masculine, that's probably the best outcome. Although honestly, I'm just happy they're not giving different stats to female equipment. Remember the Wizardry games that had some really OP female-only items?

Please don't. I have a lot of respect for the way the designers for XIV usually doesn't have any gender differences at all in its armor sets. It has been a refreshing change from WoW, to say the least.

Were they to make alterations to the female version of DRK AF and not the males' then it would be sexist because the male version would be the "default" a.k.a. the "real" DRK armor, DRK as it was "meant to be", if you will, and the female version would be the "sexy" and/or "feminine" variant.

This is not to say they can't or won't add more tankini gear sets (for everyone regardless of character gender), but I'd wholeheartedly prefer not to see that kind of thing on the artifact set.

I would absolutely hate to have the male DRK design on my female Miqo'te. The flat-as-a-board look of the DRK AF could do with some female definition like DRG AF (minus the belly-window of course, that was just a bad design). I hate that the Phlegethon and Guardian's gear comes with big ol' man pecs. I mean, they come with shaped pectoral armor, so they *cannot* be seriously used to defend against females getting boob-fitting armor.
