This. How long does it take to get novus for a single class? Unless you spend 24/7 doing hunts you might get 3 or 4 alexs a day. And that's for a single class. There are 11 DOH/DOL classes. 108 for the lot isn't so bad, if they're your bag (they are my bag).

probably 10% of the playerbase will craft the gear and 90% of the playerbase will sell their oaknots

noone says that you have to farm them all by yourself and even then it isnt clear if you get 1,2,3,4,5 of the items for 8 oaknots

Effort wise, I think it's good, being able to gear all 8 classes with the same gear saves a lot of money, but ixal dailies can get really old after a while, 108 days of that... ehh...

Yeah I've been at them since pretty much the day they came out. Hopefully, of not this coming week, in one of the early patches we'll get an alternative means to get them. I don't care if it's dull, but different would be nice.

Keep in mind that the vast majority of the sealants needed for "completion" are just for the offhands. The new Forager/Artisan leftside stuff can be done with like 1/4th of that amount.

Well i have 2 stacks of oaknots saved up form keeping up with dailies, so should be in good shape for getting mats

keep in mind also that it doesnt read (at least in the english notes) that 8 oaks = 1 sealant. Brother noted also that the 2.35 notes didnt mention that 1 oak =20 filtered water so there's still hope.

That...wouldn't make any sense outside of readding currency drops to the beastmen.

Glad I ran 2 characters through the ixali ranks (and have just been stockpiling oaknots mostly), kinda wishing I'd taken my 3rd through em.
