It is in fact you who needs to get over it, DRK has been confirmed a tank class and that is not going to change. I look forward to tanking as a DRK personally plus DPSing as a Ninja.Says the guy who thinks Cecil is the first DRK. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
FFII, III, Tactics, X-2, XI and serveral side titles with other naming conventions for the same class, all, are DRK DPS classes. While, he defends on Cecil, which also was more DPS inclined than a tank. LOL.
The tradition is that DRK are HP trade DPS classes. Get over it. DRK as a tank goes against FF history.

Im already over it. Samurai is going to be healer too. They can do whatever they want with classes, point is, when you build up a franchise and give your fans certain "traditions" don`t expect everyone to just accept it when you change them. No one liked NIN as a tank for a reason.
They can, and will do what they want, but that doesn`t make it right. DRK are DPS classes, period.
Gil Toss is a samurai skill and cyan was a samurai not a DRK, wtf with this post xD?
You said its against ff-history when samurai isn't a tank. so. What made the Samurai in FF5 and 6 more to a Tank than the Dark Knight? In these two games the Samurai only has offensive skills and if he defends, then only because the opponents strike so incredibly weak that even a BLM could tank.

1 DPS skill is proof of a class being a DPS. Okno, Cyan is one of the best DPS classes and is a Samurai, ok, thats one... Now, look for the samurai class all over. You said its against ff-history when samurai isn't a tank. so. What made the Samurai in FF5 and 6 more to a Tank than the Dark Knight? In fact, Samurai class actually doesnt fit in neither, DPS or Tank roles, is more of a very balanced class, usually has more evasion than vitality, usually has good DPS but no one near pure DPS classes and also has support skills, even movement skills. And is really uncommon, actually really few characters in FFs fit in the samurai role since it is more a jack-of-all-trades class, Cyan and Auron are both "samurai" and they are very diferent.
Okay, I must be a little more clearly appear. My point is: The definition of a job may change over time. Samurai was a defender in XI, despite he was an obvious DPS in his first appearances.1 DPS skill is proof of a class being a DPS. Who cares if the Dark Knight is a tank? There are plenty of examples out there for HP-absorbing and sacrificing tanks and so he still fits very well into the scheme. I mean, who cares, apart from those who want to see in XIV only a graphics update to XI.
I love all the kids who if someone disagree's with their opinion it must be cause they want the game to be ffxi. You're obviously only doing it to inflame an already heated discussion that will probably be deleted in a few hours anyway.Okay, I must be a little more clearly appear.
