Tanaka listened to NO ONE, and its why he was unable to adjust and solve his mistakes.

For someone demanding facts you contribute zero.
I should have specified that my reply was centered around the XIV 1.0
You're talking about 1.0 right ? To me it seems like you were playing some totally different game. 1.0 wasn't broken, not even close. In fact it was lacking features
I played 1.0 starting from Open Beta and I clearly remember as if it was today, that the only things people were literally hating about the game were missing skill point rewards, mounts (remember those times when you had to level up MIN and BTN to run faster ?) crappy and slow inventory UI and the occasional disconnects that were more or less fixed after sometime. These were the actual, real reasons to hate on the game back then, even the copy pasted terrain wasn't a big argument on the forums. Amount of people arguing about 1.0 being a bad game wasn't that big and the topics of that kind were not the most popular threads
Then there were a few people like you who were asking for another XI-2, but they got denied by the 1.0 white knights and the casuals, who wanted XIV to be the new game
Saying that Tanaka is the reason why XIV sucked is simply outrageous. People were playing the original 1.0 content for many months, before Dzemael, Totorak and Ifrit were released. During that time I don't recall them arguing about the game being too boring or repetitive. Players enjoyed it, synthesis gathering or leveling up another class lasted for quite long. You certainly can't say that about the current "regime" we have with all these lockouts and meaningless grinding made up to suck out your subscription time
Regarding the new job and other new things original to 2.0. I'm all hands down for that, the game was rubbing in the old 1.0 stuff for too long. It definitely needs fresh things to start kick in rather sooner than later
