Then what're you gonna do while waiting for a 30 minutes long DF? Stare blankly to the screen and not moving a twitch?

And obviously you don't like market, hence calling it junks. But what has became viewed as junks for you are someone else worthy treasures. And believe me, it DOES pays the "bills".

Besides, crafting are just one of excuse. What if RL emergency stuff happened? You can't never tell when does things happened around need that need quick attention, unless you have known it before and therefore not DFing on that time.

All of these comes to one simple dilemma: Waiting VS Boredom/Emergency.

or me mistakenly DFing on wrong job since needing to farm atmas and the job I wanna use for DF are for Nexus farming, combined with hunt pop shout I wanna go after which tends to auto cancel DF when I shout for invite. Happens often when I need to DF quickly. lol

I've always been for a penalty for withdrawing. But even I think this is a bit much. I think they should have just gone with something like a 5 minute lockout each time you withdraw. This is... just wow.

I'm suspecting another scheme for prolonging MMO age. If you fall into penalty equals more time and more resubbing? If you accomplish goals faster than what SE gonna throw you, you might start to complain and leaving (again). Even XI still has daily lockout Dynamis. I do admit getting a bit bored by now. lol

My god people, NOWHERE DOES IT SAY YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO USE THE DF FOR A FULL DAY.

I think it's much more likely a 30 min penalty, exactly like how Shyluv explained it. Why don't you save you rage until your see exactly how it's implemented?

This does makes some ppl think about it:

This count will reset every day at 9:00 a.m. (PDT).

In context, however, it says, "temporarily prohibited". As in, "lasting only a short time" (granted, there is another definition of the word temporary, which is simply, "not permanent", meaning "ending at a time before forever"; I do not believe the sentence gives way to that definition, though).

Yep. totally prevents DPS from doing other stuff while waiting for queue. Do maps, do FATES, do whatever, even going to WC > queue pops > forced to abandon whatever you were doing. 1 minute isn't always enough to finish what was going on. This punishment is fine as long as the allowed response time is lengthened.

temporarily probably means for the rest of the day. Otherwise the daily "count reset" time has no use at all.

Again, can we please wait until Tuesday before we complain about the harshness of the timer?

"Players who select Withdraw from the Duty Ready confirmation window or allow the window to time out without making a selection three times or more in one day, will be temporarily prohibited from registering for duties via the Duty Finder."

Someone explain to me how you can withdraw more than 3 times per 24h period if the lockout is the entire rest of the day?

One night it triggered 5-6 times after waiting 30+ minutes then had to wait 20 more minutes on it to trigger 2 more times then finally after a total of (iirc) 1 hr 06 minutes... If you are preoccupied with another task, don't clog DF and inconvenience others that have been patiently waiting. If you need that HQ item, ya better craft it or be sure you can complete it before DF triggers.
Maybe they could implement a system where the ppl that have confirmed already are put into an advance queue while it searches for someone to fill the missing spot?

Or maybe they could implement an (exponentially) increasing lockout before you can DF again to punish repeated offenders.
