By that logic we should also only party up with Lalafels because Roes are too big and clogger up space. Everyone just uses Garuda that stays out of range anyway, so screen would be fine. I somehow agree that too big would interfere with view, but the size they have on the trials really aren't big enough to do that. We are talking Gaolers/Ramuh's adds size here. Maybe a option to "simplify" egis could be added, in the same way you can turn off effects/shadows.

You ever done Turn 8? Most Summoners stack Garuda right with the party due to the mechanics of the fight. So unless other players have the option to make egis invisible which would hinder more than help. Making them larger is not really possible as it would force fights to be designed around making sure the egis are not going to block views.

Players aready block the view anyway in t8 especially Black Mages Blizzard 3.

Most *good* Summoners use Ifrit on that fight.

While I agree that the summoner feels more like a DoT class with some pets thrown in, I do have to say that I am very happy with the current damage output and utility of the summoner. It may not be the class that we expect a summoner to be, but it is a very good class at this time.

Only really worth it if you have a warrior and a monk in the party. The difference in extended boosted dots is about the same as the difference in ifrit's dps compared to garuda whenever I've tried with our group which just has a monk. And my MP is more manageable with garuda out

You realize that when I said it, it was in reference to only Brainjack. It can be made invisible as well so I'm not sure what your point is...

I've been pugging a lot lately. I've seen one Summoner do that. Much of the time if you mention it they'll ignore you said it.

Our SMN is lucky then, we have both (currently 2 MNKs until 2.4).

Therefore, all good summoners have teams who love Warriors and Monks. heh
