Most *good* Summoners use Ifrit on that fight. You ever done Turn 8? Most Summoners stack Garuda right with the party due to the mechanics of the fight. So unless other players have the option to make egis invisible which would hinder more than help. Making them larger is not really possible as it would force fights to be designed around making sure the egis are not going to block views.

Only really worth it if you have a warrior and a monk in the party. The difference in extended boosted dots is about the same as the difference in ifrit's dps compared to garuda whenever I've tried with our group which just has a monk. And my MP is more manageable with garuda out
You realize that when I said it, it was in reference to only Brainjack. It can be made invisible as well so I'm not sure what your point is...
I've been pugging a lot lately. I've seen one Summoner do that. Much of the time if you mention it they'll ignore you said it.

Our SMN is lucky then, we have both (currently 2 MNKs until 2.4).Only really worth it if you have a warrior and a monk in the party. Therefore, all good summoners have teams who love Warriors and Monks. heh
