How will FATEs teach capabilities of a class? FATEs don't require players to use their class for what is intended for. There is no need to keep aggro off of others, there is no need to heal others and no need to maximise your dps. FATEs = random xp. The low level dungeons aren't very demanding either, lots of players start properly learning their class at the end game content. Most wipes seem to happen because people did not know the fight's mechanics and not what their class was supposed to do.
But as I mentioned before to make sure that players who use the suggested exp transfer method there could be additional quests to test player's knowledge and skills as the class/job he is leveling.

Are you telling me a player playing a low HP CNJ will not have to heal for the entirety of a fate duration or fate farm? I'll answer that for you. They will have to in most cases. You are missing my point. I'll make it clear for you to prevent the back and forth.

The fate farm/run with said class will AT LEAST teach the person of how much they can heal for, how much MP they will consume when using said heal, cast time (among other things like interruption etc). Rather than letting a lvl 50 tank/DPS acquire random exp to distribute to a class they've never touched other than to apply the xp and attribute points to the class then they randomly decide one day to herp derp hop in a dungeon without knowing even the little information they'd know by actually playing the class in fate farms.

They don't need demands to teach or allow the player to learn SOMETHING of the class in play. It's the point that they are playing the class rather than free ride exp.

Yes, that healer will pop in cleric stance, spam stone/aero II while only healing himself WHILE in CS
FATEs are ez pz, all that the healer will learn is that he can heal.. If the player has a chocobo he will learn even less.

But I don't really understand why you are bringing healers as an example. Tanks/Healers have near instant DF queues + they get exp bonuses. It's the DPS classes that are slow to level.
And please stop saying "class they've never touched" when we need to do our class/job quests to unlock all of our skills with the addition that there could be additional skill checks for using this feature as I've already mentioned.

Its not about "healers" I said classes in the beginning and then made an example...

It's NEVER a good idea to award xp to an untouched class. That is my point, plain and simple. I say that because people express they don't like that class, therefore, they will not touch it, so technically gameplay wise, it is an untouched classed IMO, so no I will not stop saying it. Get used to it

Even in your given example at least they'll know what each power is and what it does as they progress and actually use the class, not go "Uhuhhhh dorge I just allocated all my poynts on WHM, now I'm gonna hop in a Tee Fibe cue." They get there and further go "Duh wat is Dibine Deal do?" and hit it and waste time and spam esuna on people not afflicted with status ailments. Sure one can argue that all they have to do is read the descriptions under the Actions & Traits tab, however the "specific" crowd in discussion are the reasons that this is a bad idea regardless if its a tank, healer, dps, fire ant, etc etc...

Ya want XP? Play the class.... It's simple really.

There are more and better ways to go about improving DF, such as (for the short run) something of what I mentioned about a reward/toke system for vanity items not accessible otherwise OR to the long and probably the most effective way of resolving the issue more tanks and healer classes need to be released asap, but we know that's not gonna happen as soon as we'd like.

EDIT: Oh and by the way regarding class quests you stated near the end. I know and have seen many people using lvl 50 scholars not knowing what the hell leeches is or was and say that they dont have it and all while saying I have a lvl 50 scholar for 2 months blah blah so I know blah blah.... yeh ok... Class quests are not required to level and advance... moot point bruh
