It's true that queues for DPS are too long in low level dungeons. The Low Level Daily Roulette usually not, but individual dungeons yes.

The best would be finding a tank that is leveling at the same level and join together for shorter queues. Also choosing more than one dungeon makes the wait times shorter (but the exp is not as good if you get one that is not the highest available.)

When I level DPS alt classes I just do the low level roulette and the guildhest roulette daily. Now I am leveling the WAR and I go to individual dungeons with a friend that is leveling the BLM so he gets shorter wait times.

Giving better rewards might be a good thing, but not to the point that it would be a must to do a low level roulette every day, adding to the many things that are very convenient to do daily.

My queue time for Embers today, part of the main questline.

I sure hope that this is normal post-large content patch, else we really DO need to boost the rewards big time.

I can play only 2-3 hours a day. During this time I wasting 2 hours for search groups in Duty Finder and only 30 minutes of time to actually play. Recently I was given a story quests in sastasha, tam tara, mines and quest to kill Ifrit. I'm doing these quests already the 4th day. Why in the game, for which I paid, I have to wait so long to go in main story dungeons? Why can not make bots or opportunity to pass dungeon solo with echo bonuses to my character? Why beginners should wait so long to advance further through the main story?

TBH A real fix for this would be to allow lvl 50's to collect Soldiery/Poetic tomes for running lower lvl dungeons with a lvl 50. Then people can just get thrown in where ever when they register for a roulette or if they directly register for the dungeon and the lvl 50 isn't wasting time on trivial gil amounts. Hell I'd even join them with my lvl 50 tank just if they rewarded 1 tome per kill, 5 per boss and an amount for completing the dungeon (like 15-20 tomes or w/e).

Rewarding people to try and make them help others is never a great solution they could make more and more achievements with rewards or add tomes and it won't make the queues any easier. It's the exact same issue in every game not just this one. The fact is most people choose to play a damage dealing class so there are not enough Tanks and Healers to go around. Even if they were rewarded more for running low level content there still would not be enough. They are not hiding away denying you they just don't have enough to match to every dungeon. Also with rewarding people you just make them resent new people since the lvl 50 just wants to get done and spam it more for the rewards and has no patience for new people who want to do a full run to get chests.

That's not true. I have a lvl 50 tanker and two 50 healers, but there's no incentive for me to play either other than high lvl end game content, unless I am helping my friends or FC member level a low level class or to jump in duty finder to help them finish a quest that someone abandoned. As I said before if they made tomes available to lvl 50's in low level dungeons there'd be more incentive to have more high lvl healers and tanks to play in them. Many people have leveled their tanks and healers and moved on to other things, incentives makes them bring them back instead of farming ST all day long now that queuing is much better there than ever before.

I'm finding it harder and harder to let this go. I started out as DPS a year ago and loved it but the wait times for dungeons turned me off DPS. I changed to Healer and played it for a while and as much as I love it I can't get the DPS monkey off my back. I want to play as DPS but I loathe levelling my other desired jobs up purely due to the long wait times (today for example, I've waited for over 90 minutes three times). Honestly, I'm not getting my monthly subscriptions worth being a DPS. I wish there were a way for the DPS players to get the same enjoyment out of the game as the other players, after all we're paying the same amount to play yet other player styles get a lot more out of the game than we DPS players do.

That is because there are 3 times the amount of DPS jobs, than there are healer and tank jobs. I like tanking and healing, and occasionally DPSing, but my forte comes from the support roles, yet I obtained 4 levels yesterday with my second tank (now 37, almost 38 PLD), My SCH, WHM, WAR are all 50 and then I will have to wait a long while for DRK, unless SE decides to slip us a new tank/healer job before the expansion.

Are they even addressing this issue? I mean, for Pete's sake, this thread was started over 6 months ago. They've had plenty of patches since then, that could've implemented changes that would decrease the DPS duty finder times.
If not that, then how about open it up to parties like Expert/High level? I can't seem to find any Dev replies to a topic like this. Are they just ignoring this issue, hoping it'll go away?

The DEVs are not completely ignoring the issue. From the 2.55 patch notes:
In preparation for the upcoming expansion, the player-matching algorithms for the Duty Finder have been adjusted.
While the queue times have not really noticeably improved for DPS in low level content. This type of comment at least shows them making attempts.
Unfortunately, they have not done anything to cause substantive change:

Options perviously mention here on the boards.
    1. Dungeon scaling, add up to 2 additional optional DPS per dungeon and scale monster HP accordingly.
Optional meaning, if you have 10 DPS waiting on tank for dungeon X, then use the extra two DPS slots and scale the dungeon for that instance.
If you have a Tank/Healer waiting on DPS, I know rare as #*$&#, then use only original two DPS slots.

    2. Significantly increase the reward for tanking/healing the low level content.
Each low dungeon takes approximately 30 minutes, the Duty Roulette only pays 60 SOL and 5 Poetics, and 7500 Gil of In need bonus.
An expert dungeon, not even the roulette takes about the same amount of time and pays 100 SOL and 40 Poetics. As a high level tank/healer, why bother running the low level roulette?
Time versus Reward is inherently skewed to end game content.

There have been other options suggested, I just do not recall them at this time.
Both of these options should in theory reduce DPS wait times in the low level content by nearly 50%. While still not perfect, at least it would noticeable.
