    ^This. I've long suspected SE has deliberately been keeping the missing abilities from version 1.0 carefully in reserve for level cap increases, so we're likely to see such vanished abilities as Phalanx and that PLD healing spell whose name eludes me at the moment.

    WAR will get an ability called Rive, which is a line AOE.
    MNK will get an ability called Hundred Fists, which increases auto-attack speed, and will give the MNK afterimages.

    That's all I know so far.

    For Summoner, I really would like to at some point see that ability Tristan used to absorb the Egi's power in the Level 50 Boss fight. Maybe it could work kind of like WoW Warlock's Grimoire of Sacrifice, where you gain a couple abilities depending on the Egi you absorb.

    Black Mage Level 60 ability should be Ultima. No more support spells please...

    Paladin:

    *55: Reprisal. Not sure if it should do Light damage or allow a Counterattack.
    *60: Knights of the Round. I'd like this to be AoE to supplement Circle of Scorn.

    A type of counter attack ability would be nice, but it really depends on how it works. If it's an auto attack type counter it's not even worth it. Your KoR ability sounds useful as PLD really does need better AOE type damage for crowd control situations. Although I'd really like to see a return of Holy Succor and Aegis Boon personally.

    Warrior:

    *55: Retaliation. Just as it says.
    *60: Rampage. Doubles potency of attacks while under Defiance.
    You already have a retaliation ability (vengeance). Unless you have a different effect for it in mind.

    Unchained already gives you an effect that negates the damage penalty of being in defiance, and as Exstal already pointed out anything more would be a bit unbalanced.

    Bard:

    *55: Herb Pastoral. Removes status ailments of those within hearing distance.
    *60: Carnage Elegy. Reduces attack speed of enemies within listening distance.
    UltimateAoe2 summed it up pretty well concerning Pastoral as it would undermine sch/whm abilities. Although I could see this where the song basically speeds up the count down on the timer of the ailment so it wears off more quickly. But the use of this song would hardly ever be used as it would be extremely situational. I'm sure something better can be made.

    Carnage Elegy is pretty interesting though. Basically it's an aura effect that puts slow onto all within range.

    Black Mage:

    *55: Burst. Stuns all enemies within area of effect and adds Thunder effect.
    *60: Manawell. MP cost of spells is eliminated for 15 seconds.
    I can see Burst working as an AOE thunder effect (with a lengthy cool down) minus the stun as a stun or paralysis effect would make it a little over powered IMO.

    Manawell is basically 6 free casts. Kind of on the wall with this one.

    Do try to remember that any new abilities will have to be balanced with the as-yet unknown abilities of the new jobs. :P For all we know the entire system could change! Not as drastically as WoW does in-between expansions, but the possibility exists.

    Also, a couple people have eluded to it, but Classes will be getting new abilities as you level as well. Not just the jobs every 5 levels.

    I support Burst (It would apply Thunder III. The only difference between the Thunders is initial damage, which differs by 10 potency each, and the time the DoT lasts), and I'm amazed MNK hasn't gotten Chi Blast, yet. Would love to see a damage-oriented Fairy, for when overkill healing isn't necessary and obviously SMN's are getting more Egi's. :P

    Predictions (with a tough of wishlist) for abilities/traits

    THM/BLM:
    • Class Ability 1: A PvE version of Phantom Dart with a similar icon and effect
    • Class Ability 2: Some sort of Dark Spell
    • Job Ability 1: From FF XII we have Bubble: a spell that doubles the current max HP, however it would have a cool-down of 15 minuets and lasts 10 minuetes
    • Job Ability 2: AoE thunder spell (Burst)
    ARC:

    • Class Ability 1: Yet another DoT
    • Class Ability 2: Spikes (icon and effect changes based on egi summoned, SCH and no pet has a default effect)
    • Class Ability 3: Summon III will be a class ability. New Carbuncle and Fairy will be introduced
    SMM:
    • Job Ability 1: Summon IV (Leviathan)
    • Job Ability 2: Summon V (Ramuh)
    • Job Ability 3: Summon VI (Shiva) or an attack like the OHKO mechanic in Tamtara HM's Avere fight (in aesthetics)
    SCH:
    • Job Ability 1: Psychic II
    • Job Ability 2: Walpargisnaught: Summons all 3 faeries to heal a player to max, their version of Benediction but also swaps out one summon for another (in a fixed cycle of Eos > Selene > unknown 3rd fairy)
