Correction of prices for optional items

Of course it isn't. But FFXIV's cash shop offers no form of advantage like an F2P's cash shop would.

Players just need to come to terms with it. It's happening whether you want it to or not. You might as well just learn to live with it. If you don't like it, don't use it. If you're OK with it, use it. It's just that simple.

Why are others who are not against it or for it so closed minded? You may not be interested in vanity gear and whatever it intails be it RP, epeen etc. but other players can. So while other players express their opinion you should just come to terms with that. People are going to disagree wether you want them to or not...see where I am going with this?

That is the calamity savager. There was another NPC that would appear during seasonal events to sell you items of past seasonal events of the same type (ie during the Moonfire Event, you could buy from him the items from past Summer events, during Christams, past Christas events items, etc.)

Untrue - everyone could buy past event items in the in-game shop for the summer and easter events, even if they just joined.

Also, wtf is with the prices? $5 for a single item that you missed by joining late? Retainers at $2/mo makes sense, they take server memory. Why are the items so stupidly expensive? It doesn't cost SE anything. If they wanted to put a cash value on them, why not $1 or $2? $5 is half a phantasia!

Well it does if the minions and sleipnir mount are exclusively cash shop. I have been waiting for a Sleipnir mount for months, I even suggested it on the forums a long time ago and look where it is...the cash shop. So don't be so ignorant as to assume this doesn't affect other players. Again, a lot of people not agaisnt or for it can't see much to this game beyond raiding.

Just finished my last fate to get the snazzy punkin earrings (They GLOW!) Got the Barding and the outfit. I am all set. Don't have to buy them next year

I prefer to have my subscription fund things that I can pay even more money for instead of SE putting them in the game free of charge, personally. I have no concept of how money works and will rush at the chance to defend my BFF Yoshi-P and his multitude of horrible decisions with this game. I also have multiple business degrees and can explain to you why a company extorting it's customers will make more money than a company that treats it's customers fairly - which is fine, to me, since I like to believe that I'm an employee of Square Enix, not a customer. I'm really excited to spend all my money on things I've already paid for so they can give us Ala Mhigo in 4.0 complete with Ul'dah textures, reused assets filling every crevice, and le epic references to past Final Fantasy games instead of sticking with the well established FF14 lore!

You're getting screwed, royally, and yet you happily accept that its the norm and 'has' to be that way when you have the power to change it simply by refusing to pay what they ask...... and yet you keep opening your wallet and bending over and saying it "has to be that way".
