I know this will get bogged down in cash shop discussion, but why is Fantasia the same price as it was before? It has been made less useful now that it is one character only and yet it still costs the same.

last time i checked SE was a business... Yoshi is all our BFFs but even he still has a boss that only cares about money and not "omg i got that item i never use forever ago, you dont deserve it!"
"Try not. Do or do not. There is no try."
The thing I'm mostly concerned about with this cash shop is now for when events come out is them throwing a majority of the stuff on the cash shop and limiting the rewards and items from the seasonal event. Meaning no buying stuff from a NPC, like yard/house decoration/extra outfits will no longer be there, it'll be put up on the cash shop instead.
Except it's NOT that simple as there are going to be cash shop exclusives. So it's either pay up or miss out. Why should anyone miss out on items when they're already paying a monthly subscription?
Of course it isn't. But FFXIV's cash shop offers no form of advantage like an F2P's cash shop would.
Players just need to come to terms with it. It's happening whether you want it to or not. You might as well just learn to live with it. If you don't like it, don't use it. If you're OK with it, use it. It's just that simple.
If you don't like reading about it then don't. See how that works?Um if you don't like the cash shop don't buy anything simple as that.
If you do like it, buy something.
If you are all QQ because someone can now buy that you "earned" by doing a seasonal quest when they weren't playing grow up
I would love one of the pumpkin heads, and maybe the clothing, so when the 28th hits and if I have some pocket change,
I will pick them up, if not it's not going to kill me or make me lose any respect for this game.
You guys are acting like SE is an indie dev that needs this. Show extra support? do you go tip the clerk at your grocery store because you are happy to have food? They offer a product and we are consumers, stop acting like you work for SE. Every time you post an argument about these items remember you could have had the in game for the price of your sub. Its not cash shop or nothing, someone decided to put it in the cash shop instead of as an in game reward. You're also excited to pay for something with real money you couldve had for 2 gil....
Miss out on what? A pet? Oh man, that's really going to hinder my playstyle. I'll never clear coil now.
It is that simple. I didn't purchase extra retainers because I didn't want to. I didn't buy out my fantasia allocation because I didn't want to. Mounts and Minions are in-game and plenty will be, the only thing you're missing out on, based on even that little list, are mostly items if you CHOSE not to play FFXIV 1.0 or missed out last year, meaning you already missed out.
Did you know? You missed out on Wind up Minfilla if you didn't buy her in the anniversary event ^^.
Yeah, of course, to show extra support and appreciation, right? You realize that all of the things you've mentioned, are already things, right? The cash shop is completely optional, and, in no way, provides anything outside of aesthetics. No one gains an advantage in any way, shape, or form. If you don't want to buy one of the cash shop pets or armors, you don't have to. If you find something that they implement into the cash shop to be to your liking, you can buy it. If you can't rationalize spending extra money on the game outside of your subscription fee, then don't pay a dime extra. In the words of Captain Planet; "The power is yours!"
PS3 limitations
... That also could be a rare drop in game so it would be something to work towards, and sell it on the Marketboards to try to make some gil. Everything including glamour stuff has a purpose within the game, economics is apart of it. Remember Bluebird? How hard it is to get it, and when you finally got it, you knew deep inside that you will be soon net 300k-2 mil.
