The decision to add a cash shop is very anti-consumer, as a consumer you should be against such a change.
Let me ask you a question, would you rather pay $5 for a mount or earn the same mount in game?

If it's anything like the primal mounts, 5$.
Or some people have an understanding of how businesses works and/or have more disposable income. People assume everything that's going to be in the cash shop would have been in game regardless but the thing is that a lot (not everything) of this stuff can be created because people are willing to pay for them and might never have been created otherwise.

These things would be in game if they weren't in the cash shop because that's how it's been for the entirety of this games life. Understanding business has nothing to do with this. It's not a question of why they are doing it. It's that they are ripping us off.Or some people have an understanding of how businesses works and/or have more disposable income. It's as simple as asking if you want to get something for free or do you want to pay for it. If someone is saying they would rather pay for something then to get it for free, there's no hope for that person
In my opinion nothing should be in the cash shop that cannot be obtained in game. A primal mount is hard to get but it can at least be obtained In game for no extra money. If the only way to get an item is by paying then that just wrong for your fans.
But I would rather have no cash shop at all

I would rather pay $5 and get my mount.
Have you even tried to farm one of those EX pony mounts? It's pretty much the only reason I join EX primal when I see them since I don't need any of the gear. I think I have spent close to 200 hours farming EX primals, I have seen 5 ponies drop. I did not win the roll on any of them. Its a 1% drop rate and if it drops you have to beat out 7 other people. The EX primal mount drop system is so bad rewards 1 person because they were lucky. When you see a primal mount you don't think that person is so skilled and dedicated to playing FFXIV they got that mount you think well they got super lucky.
Did I enjoy wasting 200 hours of my life and have nothing to show for it? No I did not. Would I prefer to waste less then 1 hour of my time to earn $5 and get a mount, sure would.

Pay the $5, its not like the mounts are anything special game mechanic wise anyway. A chocobo is no different then magitek which is no different then primal mounts which are no different then the free veteran reward mounts. Its all vanity.
I agree with Aylis. I don't give two goobue droppings about how I get the mount. If I want it enough, I'll pay for it. If I don't want it enough, I don't pay for it. But, frankly, between $5 or farming Titan EX a couple hundred times, I think I would rather sacrifice the $5. I'll skip buying myself a lemonade on the way to class for a couple of days or something.
I just wonder how ppl come to the conclusion that the "Vanity" Shop will be the cause of 0 Vanity Items from the game itself.
For me it's a reason that we even get more Vanity Items than it was planned.
It's like you guys see the Dooms Days behind the Mog Shop and ignore the 99% other Awesome things they Announced.<_<

That isnt the issue. The issue is cash shop exclusive content and content not being on the game and being behind a paywall. Slepneir mount is CONFIRMED cash shop exclusive, only those who pay, considering the price of things, 20 USD will have access to said mount, other players no.
