Of course the exp needed, NOW, is lower. You should have seen Xi when the level cap was 50. Now, let's say...in XI, you need..what..40k to reach a level? Before the cap increase, that 40k was around 60k.

Once again, I don't care what XI was like a decade ago. I play the XI of today.
Back then there were very few mmos in the market. Sorry man, things change. And I am sorry, but if you can't understand that a decade old game will lose subs just because of fatigue, and dated graphics, not to mention people getting interested in new games, etc... well, you don't understand what rationality and logic is.
I thought the argument was that Abyssea brought a bunch of players back .=. There were 500k active subscription accounts in 2008, compared to 330k active characters now-ish...Back then there were very few mmos in the market. Sorry man, things change. I don't care whether or not abyssea brought back players. In my experience it has (brought me back and most of my LS back) but maybe it didn't. Who cares? It is fun. That is what I care about.
and FFXIV obviously isn't fun for you, but it is fun for me. So...why are you still here? Go back to the game that you find fun and leave my game alone with your flawed logic.

Then don't respond to my posts, because I was responding to the guy who said FFXI lost a ton of its population when WoW was released (which it didn't) until Abyssea brought a bunch of them back (which it didn't).
