Cash shop confirmed

You can't get items of events that you did not participate on/complete, that's why you don't see the valentine, halloween and christmas stuff. Slime, dodo, cactuar and bomb earring are there because they aren't from an in-game event, but a reward from the Titan and Levi events of the TGS and everyone on all servers got them.

Or maybe they've taken them away to put them in the cash shop, who knows. I'll have to check later.

Didn't participate in the valentine or christmas one but I did do the halloween one. Dunno why its not showing up for me. As long as they make whatever they put in the shop available in game w/o the need to purchase with cash it should be ok. Wont force people to pay money for vanity and for people too lazy to earn it in game they can just make their bank balance cry. Although this brings another argument into the fray "Why do I have to work for it when dude A can purchase for money with no effort" ugh..

When is the shop being implemented? Didn't watch all the streams because my net started to go funky.

I am OK with SE earning more money with a successful game. As long as game mechanics, minigames, sidequests, pvp and progression is all on the subscription fee, I see nothing wrong with them selling vanity items on their online shop.

Remember, we asked for this when all people were crying out loud to be able to purchase fantasia potions.

The cash shop is vanity :] I doubt SE will self-destruct by giving away actual gear.

I am excited for it, imagine all the cool shinnies they will be more motivated to create to be more tempting to consumers.

Imho a cash shop does NOT belong in a subscription game.

But sadly Blizzard has delivered a precedent and proven that it works, so ofc other companies want to double dip too.

Not much we can do about it at this point.

As long as it's not giving someone a huge advantage over someone else (Look at PWI for instance). There is nothing really disgusting about it. Or at least in my opinion it's not. That and let's calm down a bit and not talk as if we know how this will unfold.

ppl should take a deep breath and take a step back...until we actually see how often they will update the cash shop and with what stuff, no1 knows how it will turn out

if its just past event gear and a few minions/mounts here and there i dont rly care.. especially with the past event gear, i rather the events develop instead of getting the same old things and ppl will still have the option of getting same of the old stuff it the want to

I think this might kill the game for me. I dont care much for better gear they will be obsolete in a couple of months anyway. But trying to collect all the vanity stuff is my way of playing. And if there will be less craftable vanity gear that means i will be finished with the patches quicker and then Ill just have nothing to do til they add new stuff. I like working for my vanity gear I dont just wanna buy it and plopp its in my inventory

Agreed. I don't understand how my monthly fee is not enough money for ALL content in the game. Why? If SE if facing some cash problem where they really need extra money to make the game better or buy new servers or whatever, then raise the sub fee by a dollar. Don't put in a cash shop.... please.

Its already changing the game in a bad way. People already asking how to get old event items for all saints wake, and sad they have to pay money for something others got for part of their subscription earlier (and use to be obtainable for chump change of gil). Cashing in on old items, awesome.

All Saints Wake last year, All Saints Wake this year, sounds the same to me. Just because the story has continued doesn't mean forcing others to pay for long old and already designed content in game is right; which again, was free to us aside for a few gil.
