If it's the cost that's the issue, you have bigger things to worry about if you can't afford a few quid every once in a while.

If it's the fact that others will get nice vanity gear and you won't, suck it up, go get a job and quit crying.

If it's because you think suddenly they'll have zone entrances with an NPC demanding $5 to pass through to a new zone... you're one sadistic person.

And a lot of it goes to their pockets, not to keep the game alive, this cash shop is pure profit, excessive if you have any idea how well vanity items sell in f2p games, in the last f2p game I played vanity items gave more profit than gear enhancement items, people would spend hundreds for a 1% chance to get "special" things, you don't need that in a p2p game as the box sales AND sub usually pays off for everything and there's still a large profit.

If you want to support micro-transactions in a game you already paid for (box cost) and you keep paying for (sub cost) go ahead, but don't lie to yourself that this is for game development, that will go straight to their pockets.

Just my two cents here, but all of you people complaining avbout the cash shop probably also complained about not getting space for personal housing. if a cash shop pays for upgraded servers to get more housing plots, then its money well spent.

Other MMOs give houses to every player. FFXIV can barely managed a small handful. It's pathetic, maybe they're using a toaster for servers :\. They get enough money to improve the servers to stop these issues, every other time people complain about something they say "server limitations". It's gotten to the point where it's just an excuse to me and holds no real value.

Monthly subscriptions also pay for that. No need to take more from us. But your still missing the point of what the issues are. It's easy to assume the extra money will go towards making the game even better but there is no proof that that will ever happen. what we do know though, is that we are blocked from some things now unless we pay more money, and that's just more money taken from us that could have just been included in the game
