Just something I don't see being considered here; Since SE are selling previous patch minions through this, what's to say that the Sleipnir mount isn't just a rare drop from Odin as well? Say, if the cash shop came out earlier it would be either grind for Nightmare or just buy it. I personally don't see why just because the Odin mount is in the cash shop that it can't be in the game as well, do they honestly have to be mutually exclusive?

Diablo III Lethargy: Why put the work and effort into learning a fight, why run it 50x for the chance of a rare drop when you can put down $10-20 and get it instantly? In fact, the more times you run Odin, you'll find that the trial is exhausting and if you are unlucky for so long, you'll eventually put the money down.

None of the minions are ingame or from previous patches. They are new.

It was something from previous patch. Seasonal items was it, I'm sure it was mentioned that one of the plans for the cash shop was you can get 1.0 items and old seasonal goods or something. Some of those are minions I'd wager like the small princess doll.

I don't get why that would be a problem if BOTH exist. If the person has that much of a problem with the cash shop he'll just keep doing the trial.
Also for the first bit, because it's fun? I do second coil at the moment just because it's fun, getting gear at this point is just a bonus after you've downed the content.

And if you are worried about 'people would just buy it on cash shop' somehow marginalizing the achievement of grinding for it, have them be different colours, have an emblem on it, do something to make it distinct so people can see where you got it?

Casual players have gotten what they want. How else was Squeenix supposed to answer the casual players cry for some better looking gear? Some people don't feel like killing Ifrit with a 1% drop chance at getting a horse. If people are fortunate enough to have the extra money to spice their character up how they'd like and don't have extra time to farm, so be it, the loot looks different, but now the causal player can have an identity.

The people that are saying this is the end because they have to decided whether or not new content is going in the cash shop or in the game, I don't think that was ever a question, I think all it shows now is that they have an abundance of content and instead of giving it a .0001% drop rate on some EM primal, they have enough content to give the casual player a chance to ride a horse around. They have finally reached a point in the game where their not pushing themselves to the limit for more content, there's is finally extra.

Yes they did show the 4 pumpkin heads and the 2 halloween ghost costumes from the previous events. Which I don't mind, because everyone had the chance to get them.

However, the minions they showed were Y'shtola, Yda and Papalymo, and Sleipnir mount after. These 4 items are new and not obtainable in-game.

Their not making any one buy or do anything for that matter. If it's a secret to all of you, this would be one of the only P2p games without a cash shop, as I said, they finally have extra content, like old content from past festivals, we never would have seen that otherwise, it's nice I now have that option if I missed it and really wanted that item.

Again, just because everyone jumps off a bridge, doesn't mean you should.

And selling previous event gear is a good move. I don't mind that, because I payed for a subscription and completed the event. And it makes me happy to know people will have the opportunity to get gear they missed.

However new stuff? I find it impossible to accept that.

Because I couldn't care less if they buy something I worked hard for. I work hard for things I want to get, I don't care about what others get - it doesn't take away my enjoyment of the game.
I care about what I can't get unless I pay. I care about being robbed of content.

I'll tell you what.. SE can have their stupid cash shop for all I care. But the moment they start throwing advertisements for it on the start up screens and loading screens, that's it it's over. I don't want to see a single advertising on cash shop items while I start or play the game that I already pay a subscription for.
