Brynhilder leader of Blood is Power! Where would I be without the family I call my FC and the brothers and sisters in my static? Well, not making amazing memories and just having a good old time would be my first guess. This game is amazing.
That's not the case at all. I stated my thoughts on the holiday gear that I am in two minds about it but neither is much of a concern.
It's the likes of the Sleipnir mount and future items that will be obtainable through the cash shop. If, I do say if, this mount is obtainable through the Odin battle, as well as any other future items released in the cash shop, it won't annoy me so much. I want to earn my items. I wasn't really concerned with the other primal mounts but I hunted Odin like crazy months ago and earned plenty of mantles so of course, I want to earn that Slipnir mount.
As for others saying it's option and it's only vanity...well, coil is optional. You don't have to do it, so lets add that to the cash shop at some point. What else? Well, housing is optional, stick that in the cash shop. Meh, that new weapon you may want? That's optional!
This has actually been in console games for quite some time now. Take Xbox for example, you have to pay the monthly xbox live fee to play online, you have to buy your games, now then the games almost always have extra dlc outfits, weapons, ect. If you look at SE games there was a ton of optional stuff in FFXIII-2 and Lightning Returns you could buy on the store.
Your analogy is wrong. You buy a magazine subscription, you get the magazine. If they were to tear out pages and charge them, that'd be like SE tearing out Primal instances and charging you to be able to fight them.Go browse online retail stores then. Something like this has no place in an already pay-to-play game.
How would you feel if you paid for, say, a magazine subscription, but they decided to tear out some of the pages or articles and charge extra for them because they're "optional"?
Well if they teared pages out I would think that frankly disturbing, a funny thought though, but a horrible metaphor. I'm sorry if I offended you by saying I enjoy browsing a ingame store for a game that I also enjoy playing.

It was added to the games files, yes, but it was never linked to anything in the game. Or, do you expect them to only add the bought stuff to the gamefiles of the players that buy it?

When crafters start not getting any new vanity recipes and all the glamour prisms are sold only in the cash shop for 5€ a pop, I want to see all this support.
Personally, what I think of this cash shop can't be printed here.
That's all I have to say.
