I think CNJ would fit here better, with elemental focus. The whole CNJ line focused on being "one with" the elements etc. It would kinda make sense that this what one would need for nin for that reason only. Don't count it out. Hopefully not but....U O E N O

When have they ever made sub classes based on lore, its generally for the cross class abilities that can be brought across, in this case CNJ has none. It's harsh giving a class an unusable sub class for the sake of lore.

Rogue/Ninja are strength-based (we can now fully confirm this)
Rogue poisons are attached to branching skill chains and are limited to how many poisons they have have up at one time.
The sub class needed for ninja is... hang on...

My information gathering skills are pretty poor, are we basing this due to the gear we've seen? As well as the trailer? I didn't see anything that outright confirms they are strength based.

Pretty sure it shares gear with Monk, just going off the trailer Monk and Ninja are never shown beside each other in the same place, not once. That's pretty suspicious, and if it shares gear with Monk well.. Yeah it's STR.

I'd laugh but I doubt that will happen. Could you imagine? Ninja wearing bulky armor. That'd be hilarious. But yeah everywhere in the trailer showing gear for rogue or monk the other isn't shown. Coil showed every class Cept SMN/NIN, Shiva did pretty much the same thing, then in the crafting we see a ruby ring on a Rogue recolor, with Monks gear not being shown yet every other class' gear is shown.

This puts me at a pretty obvious conclusion... But I'd still laugh if they share gear with DRG like you said xP. THat'd just be hilarious.
