I am not even talking about that, I am talking about an event made for the "fans" of a game. We already paid for the game and pay for a sub. This is an entirely situation.

You already paid for the game via the sub yes, but that only gets you access to the sub. A separate extraneous event is completely different. The free stream fits what you're talking about anyway. People just want to complain even though there is a perfectly good free option.
