The "check box" argument is the one that is off-topic. Please leave it for the other discussion, m'kay? If you still think it's relevant to the topic, please read the OP and tell me where it mentions a "check box".

As for the criticism, it can go both ways. Some people may give constructive criticism, and some may just yell at you. At the end of the day, criticism helps people to learn from their mistakes. It's not an entirely bad thing per say. Without it, you'd just be going in blind with no improvement because nobody tells you otherwise.

I see criticism as a way to improve and as a learning experience, no matter how it was received. If someone yelled at me, then I obviously did something I shouldn't have. If someone nudged me and gave some advice, I can take that advice and learn from it. You're really making it sound like any sort of criticism is bad.
