It is the same topic. People are treating "newbies and newer players badly" and that needs to stop. The "no newbies wanted" check box are dreamed up by people want to treat the newbies and newer players badly.

Who are you to criticize? How about expect guidance, encouragement, and advice? And not the type of advice that starts with cussing people out.

As for the criticism, it can go both ways. Some people may give constructive criticism, and some may just yell at you. At the end of the day, criticism helps people to learn from their mistakes. It's not an entirely bad thing per say. Without it, you'd just be going in blind with no improvement because nobody tells you otherwise.

I see criticism as a way to improve and as a learning experience, no matter how it was received. If someone yelled at me, then I obviously did something I shouldn't have. If someone nudged me and gave some advice, I can take that advice and learn from it. You're really making it sound like any sort of criticism is bad.

Be considerate means you take into account the larger picture and be considerate of multiple facets. The "no newbies wanted" check box is one example of people not being considerate. And yelling at people is also NOT being considerate. People a playing the game trying to get along, and they are not looking for performance review, and they are certainly not looking to get criticism constructive or otherwise. Provide gentle guidance, support, encouragement, and advice. It will work much better.

Please read the whole post instead of tl;dr and taking points out of context. I've said it once and I may probably say it again. I am not against people who are learning the ropes. But I dislike the people who can't learn from their mistakes nor accept any form of criticism.

My views completely differ from yours, yet you cant even see the 'big picture'. Giving guidance, support, encouragement, can be seen as forms of criticism. I see criticism as a way to improve and as a learning experience, no matter how it was received. Not you, nor nobody else will change my stance on this matter.

My guess is you have yet to tank any dungeons? This game is full of "D's" and like I said when you don't meet their expectations, they have no issue letting you know about it. Of course this isn't right, but it is what happens.
